[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

How do you guys feel about the Colanto emulators? I have no opinion either way (ok, I do. I'd prefer hardware but currently it's not an option), do you think they're as good of an approximation of the real thing to make it worthwhile?

Subject: Best DAW For Amiga

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I'm gonna be booting an Amiga emulator on my laptop soon just to try some different DAWs. Anybody got some good suggestions for a retro Amiga DAW?

I'm hoping to try and create some retro sounding music for a personal project and what better way than to use a retro music program.

Subject: Looking for a Space generating program

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I cannot remember the name of a program i ran on my 500. The software would generate random images of a space scene. First it would produce different colored nebulae then god-star projections and finally small stars. Was completely random and procedurally generated. I think it was in response to when Picasso was released to showcase it maybe?

Any help on a name or code would be fantastic.

Subject: Anyone remember this game?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I tried asking at "tipofmyjoystick" but to no avail, so I thought I'd try here if that's Ok.

I remember the game having top-down perspective and you arrived on an island (I think) where there were several towers that had monsters emerging from them at night (only 1 tower each night). You could either be a knight (sword), ranger (bow) or a mage (throw fireballs) and there were shops where you could re-stock. However if the monsters were not stopped they could destroy these shops, shutting them down. I also believe you could seal these towers after dealing with a nights monster wave and I think you entered the tower to do so.

I never finished the game but it's been stuck in my mind for over 20 years. I guess it must be a pretty much unknown game as I haven't found it and asking around previously hasn't helped. Maybe someone here recalls the game?

Thanks.
