Subject: Love to re-visit a Deluxe Paint tutorial in a German Amiga Magazine
I remember that I followed an article in a German magazine step-by-step to animate a globe using Deluxe Paint III. Since it doesn't animate 3D object the article was showing a trick by shifting two world maps to simulate the effect. At the time I was so fascinated :-)
Does anyone remember that article?

Hi,
I've been on the lookout for an a500plus, now I see one listed that apparently (judging by one of the photos) has KS 1.3 onboard? Seller doesn't mention a KS switch or anything like that. I always thought the 500+ had KS2.04...
Does this exist? Or is something off here?

Heya folks. So my A500+ is almost here (eeeeeeeee!) and will get to work cleaning it up while I wait for my power supply, RGB2HDMI and other bits to arrive. One thing I'll need is a ROM switcher, since I have memories of Kickstart 2.04 not playing nice with a lot of games and had to plop one into my oul' Amiga back in the day. (Cringing at the hamfisted job I did of drilling the case for the toggle switch... oof)
Currently (thanks, Covid) the options seem to be fairly limited. For the price of a used Kickstart 1.3 (I'm just looking at ebay) I could get a dual Rom from Sordan in Ireland, which has 1.3 and 3.1 on there, but far from sure about 3.1 on an A500+ with zero expansions. Thoughts?

I’ve tried to follow a couple of online guides but get stuck at various points. To start with I was struggling to get the partitions to save on WinUAE, but found that to be due to the version I was using. With an older version I can get the partitions saved but the larger one won’t format due to being too big. I also tried setting it all up on the Amiga. Got the drive partitioned and formatted (although had to keep it smaller) and I even got Classic WB installed, but still couldn’t get WHDLoad working. Was as if it couldn’t see any of the games?? Any help gratefully received. Please keep it idiot proof though!

I ordered a cable for my Amiga 500 (https://www.retro-kabel.de/p/amiga-monitor-tv-scartkabel-rgb-high-quality) which works, when I connect the Amiga directly to a TV with a scart socket.
However, I would like to connect the Amiga to a PC-Monitor via HDMI. For this I bought a Scart to HDMI adapter (https://www.amazon.de/AMANKA-Scart-Konverter-Wandler-Blu-ray/dp/B0777DWSQB/ref%20=%20sr_1_3?%20__%20mk_de_DE%20=%%20C3%%2085M%%20C3%%2085%%20C5%%20BD%%20C3%%2095%%20C3%%2091%20&%20dchild%20=%201%20&%20keywords%20=%20scart%20+%20auf%20+%20hdmi%20&%20qid%20=%201613840271%20&%20sr%20=%208-3)) Unfortunately, I don't get a picture on the monitor's HDMI connection. There seems to be a signal, but the screen is just white.
Do you have any idea what that could be? Is the pin-assignment of the Amiga scart cable different than "normal" and the adapter cannot handle it? Maybe someone has a tip.

Over the past few months i've made 5 separate enquiries to 2 different online shop, including one attempt through an eBay store.
Not a single reply.
One of the enquiries is because i want to buy a 3.1.4 license, not the physical chip or disks. For some reason, they want something like 13 euro to post it (overseas). Even if it's on paper, that is insane.
Additionally, i wanted an item that, granted, is quite bulky, but would weigh less than 1kg. Delivery overseas? over 120 euro (for tracked item), nearly 80 euro without tracking.
So of course i politely ask what is going on there.
The other shop i asked a technical question about the product. I can kind of accept that they don't want to get dragged into noob questions on products they sell, but it's still really crap customer service to simply ignore the email. Even a polite reply that says "i'm sorry, we don't have the staff to provide technical advice on the products we carry, please contact the maker or ask in a forum somewhere".
These attempts are the first time i've tried to buy an Amiga something from overseas that wasn't on eBay. Is this 'normal'?
p.s. where is the best place to buy a 3.1.4 license without the physical chip or disks?
Thanks.
