Hi to all!
Years ago, shame on me!, I found a mouse ball on the floor in my office and I threw it in the bin... I thought it was from some of the PS/2 mouse i had here and there..
It wasn't. It was the Black Amiga Technologies Mouse one, instead...
I tried to find a "compatible" one, but without success, it's allways smaller than it should be.
Can anyone that have that mouse give me the correct diameter of the ball?

Hello! I bought an Amiga 1200 off ebay, everything's working grrat except some keys don't work (lshift) the "ù" key near the enter key (italian leyboard), caps lock, left shift and I can't reboot using the ctrl+amiga keys, had not the opportunity to test the kyeboard via testing software as I have no way of passing stuff from pc (waiting for cf hdd kit to arrive) and couldn't have tested the function keys.
What could be the problem do I need a new membrane or could i try cleaning it? Any tips on how to clean the membrane? Also seems the membrane could be a little dirty as some keys work if you press them harder.
Somebody mentioned online that if you need to buy a new membran they advised to buy hard pcb membranes (like this one https://retroready.one/products/hard-membrane-keyboard-replacement-for-amiga-500-amiga-1200) but are slightly more expansive. what are your opionions about it?
Thanks!

So i've finally taken the dive in. I've got an Amiga 1200 on it's way to me. I primarily want it for sampling & sequencing in Octamed, but i'm also interested in it's 3D / 2D animation capabilities and video editing FX. If anyone has any tips on where to start with that stuff, it'd be great!
It's coming with;
Blizzard 1230 IV accelerator + 68882 floating point unit (uninstalled)
Indivision AGA Mk3 hdmi output (uninstalled)
CF Card (uninstalled)
a scan doubler
optical original mouse
power
Any tips, tricks, installation ideas or general information would be appreciated! Really keen to get into some 3D & 2D animation too.
My only real interaction was with a friends 500 back in the 80s where we'd play firepower, bubble bobble & kings quest III after school. I've always wanted an Amiga and the bug bit a bit too hard lately, so here we ar

![]() | We had a thunder storm a while back, and it took out my Amiga 1200 PSU. After many weeks of troubleshooting, I found and replaced all of the fried parts (8 in total, including a line filter I dismantled). Ok, so full disclaimer, it’s only stable up to about 800mW and then one of the coils starts squeezing (the PWM signal becomes unstable) and over 1A, it fails and destabilises. I know some of you will be screaming at your screens, so let me say: of course I’d never use this on an A1200 (unless I manage to fix the instability and make it rock solid under max load). Very interesting learning experience though! I made a schematic if anyone wants a copy. [link] [comments] |
Subject: Searching for a "dead" Amiga 600. They seem so rare these days!
Hey friends. Currently (in the US) searching for an A600 for a project but I don't need a fully working one. Is there an alternative to the insane prices found on that popular bidding site? I was one of the weird kids that had Commodore stuff back in the day and I always loved my 600.
I wasn't sure if there are better websites where enthusiasts exchange things like this. Thanks for any insight!

I have recently bought 3.2.1 roms for my a1200, I am pretty noobish when it comes to these machines, but when I switched to the new roms (from 3.0) the amiga stopped detecting my ide (2.5 inch) hard drive, it also didn’t detect the PCMCIA slot either in the boot selector menu, my question is mainly, am I doing something wrong or is the roms faulty in any way ?
