Hi guys,
I used to have glorious Amiga CDTV in my youth. Back then it was more or less a giant video game console to me, played a lot of amazing games. Later that Amiga stopped working and was retired to the attic. Fast forward ~20 years and that Amiga is nowhere to be found and I'm only left with a handful of floppies from my collection.
I always wanted to buy another Amiga CDTV since it was the Amiga of my youth, but seeing the prices I'm quite discouraged. So I thought to myself: do I NEED a CDTV? So my real question is: are there any advantages of owning CDTV over other models? Is it any better in any aspect than, let's say, Amiga 1200? I was even thinking of possibly converting one of my laptops to Aros or similar, but I always have this itch for owning an actual Amiga computer.

Subject: Going to Spain for 2 weeks, are Amigas popular there?
I am headed to Spain in February from the US (never been to Europe) for vacation. My wife and brother in law are Spanish speakers and will be staying in Madrid, I was wondering if it is easier fo find Amiga machines over there or where I could look?

Subject: Similarity between Sega 32X Kolibri and Agony for Amiga
Does anyone know the story behind the Sega 32X game Kolibri and it's similarity to Agony on the Amiga? Were the developers just inspired by Agony or was there some kind of connection there? Kolibri uses a hummingbird instead of an owl but check out how similar the graphics are here at 6:50 https://youtu.be/ds5klrkqvCg?t=410 and the real kicker is that they use the exact same font for the title screen as Agony at 0:12 https://youtu.be/ds5klrkqvCg?t=12 so that goes way beyond a coincidence.
Would love to know any details about this if anyone knows as Agony is one of my favourite games ever for the Amiga and has the system's best graphics in my opinion alongside Lionheart.

Man, I've walked this road before, and I hate every step.
I get nostalgic. I miss my old Amigas with an absolute passion. So I go absolutely mad, spend an amount of money that my wife would castrate me for if she knew the amount, am happy and then.... feel guilty.
The Amiga 1200 that I would have killed for as a teenager is currently sitting across from me in my home office, just... unloved.
I think I need to find her a new home. And I think I need to stop chasing the dragon. Maybe just keep my A500 and leave it there.

Hi all,
Possibly a stupid question, but is it actually possible to buy a license for 3.1.4 anymore (A600)? I see listings for rom burning services etc, but they all require proof of license ownership. That's fine, I'll buy the license...or so I thought...Hyperion, Amiga-store, Amiga-shop, retro passion...nothing, no way I can see to actually buy it...surely I'm being stupid here?

Subject: How fast is this? I don't have a good base reference for an amiga I never used original hardware.
What emulator is the best? I have a PI and a esxi server available for use.
I’m looking to set it up and hope there is a compatible BBS package that is available and works. Any suggestions?
