![]() | Thanks Chris Edwards for putting this awesome image together just in time for Christmas break. Only changes I've made are grey window border colours, made a Pimiga/osx wallpaper, metal textures to window backgrounds and dock, one boot screen and one start sound. Oh and added Turrican 2 AGA to igame 🤘 Who else is enjoying Pimiga? [link] [comments] |
Subject: A small Discord Amiga server if you'd like to chat :)
Right so I can’t remember what it was called. I’d recognise it as soon as I saw it.
Hoping someone here can help!
The game I recall was similar to elevator action. There were doors to go in and I think key cards to collect. I recall the character could find a pump action shotgun or an uzi. Pretty sure it had elevator & stairs to move around. Graphics were basic.
Been googling it for hours. Lol

Are there any games like eye of the beholder or dungeon master, but turn-based?
If yes, what are your favorites?

Subject: Hey people - can you help me with a Christmas miracle and get this thing working?
![]() | So I’m at my parents for Xmas and looking to boot up the Amiga for some retro family action… but not sure how to load it (haven’t touched the machine in 20 years!) I have tried to insert the workbench 1.3 floppy before I turn it on… but no joy. Can’t remember how the thing used to work… If anyone can help with tips / reminders of how to get this thing working I’d be super grateful. Me and my sister very keen to get into some Rainbow Island / Sensible Soccer action!!! [link] [comments] |
Subject: how to write amiga disks on the cheap(or circumvent disks all together)
I'm relatively new Amiga hardware and had assumed getting disks made was as easy as the Atari ST. Upon receiving my A500 and trying to crashboot with Amiga xfer to no avail. I did research on ways to get this thing booted and came up with the following results.
Pistorm: ideal solution, I already have a compatible pi, but can't find anyone selling the hat in the US
Drawbridge: would be great if it didn't require hacking up a floppy cable, and ruining my PCs Arduino configuration.
Ide68k: I don't know where to buy this in the US, and also don't know if I need to upgrade the kickstart ROM.
Gotek: sacrifices the internal drive and I would prefer to keep it functional.
Greaseweazel: don't know where to get in the US without paying for parts I don't need. I just want a pcb that works.
My budget is $50
I'm not ordering from outside the US
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My Love bought me a Mini A500 for some super nostalgia.
If I want to connect multiple wireless peripherals - such as a keyboard mouse and joystick, do I need one bluetooth dongle per item or one for the three?

Subject: Is 512KB the standard for A500 trapdoor expansion? or 1MB?
Is this correct?
"Early OCS A500s can only have 512KB trapdoor expansion ram usually allocated as slow ram. later partially ECS A500s can only have 512KB as well, but can be mapped as real Chip RAM. The A500+ and later can do the full 1MB trapdoor expansion."
I'm trying to figure out what amount of trapdoor ram one should put into a Rev 6A A500, I only want compatbility with OCS software.

Anyone suggest a good place in the US to get a premade A1200 Mister FPGA? I would love to hook one up to my OLED tv and have it be as OOTB as possible. Right now I'm using PiMiga - LOVE it. But now have the itch to have a cool setup like that without breaking the bank and getting the real deal.

Subject: AADevLog #6 - Merry Christmas! And, yes, it will become a game.
Christmas Day Amiga 500 fun...
Workbench loads ok. Carmen Sandiego worked but the mouse cursor was corrupt during the loading scene. Humans wouldn't fully load the first level before locking up (and the display was shifted downwards).
Is there a disk that I can run to self-test my Amiga 500?
Original Amiga 500, original RAM expansion, modern power supply, modern RGB-video to composite adapter, modern mouse via adapter (waiting on new button switches for my original tank mouse), new old-stock Radio Shack multi-platform joystick.
