Subject: Guide for refurbishing?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi,

I was in the right place at the right time and scored a freebie Amiga 4000/040. The inside has some pins with corrosion but otherwise appears fine and surprisingly clean. Can I get some help from the forum for a good guide / vid on where to start so I firstly don't electrocute myself and can possibly get it working?... assuming it isn't already dead.....

Thank you

Subject: Where to sell Amiga games and hardware? Some rare.

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi all,

I hope this is OK to post here? UK-based.

I’ve decided the time had come to let go of my Amiga hardware and games and I’m checking if anyone knows of anywhere better than eBay before I go that route?

I’ve only just today got everything from the loft but I’ve got a couple of games that seem pretty rare ( Lion Heart, North and South) and I particularly want to find the right outlet for those. Or at least a decent valuation.

I still need to check everything is good but I’ll post the full list here if anyone’s interested?

Cheers!

Subject: Amiga 500 oldschool demos

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I have been posting videos of Amiga 500demos since October. In the following playlist there is over 50 videos, perhaps some from groups that you haven't heard before. There are even few of my own creations. Bonus points if you can spot them :p

In any case the playlist is here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnmLOQIDmUvUgbvY-Jq0txuYWYgWVcOOS

I'm posting new videos a few times a week for foreseeable future.

Subject: Kryoflux Personal Edition, will it do what I want?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

For a while now I've been looking for some way I can dump my old Amiga 3.5" disks on my Windows 10 machine. It looks like the "KryoFlux Personal Edition Premium" might do what I want, but I wanted to clarify before dropping $150 on it...

https://webstore.kryoflux.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=30&osCsid=d055b107b96d4a768a751007466ec9e3

Can I take this thing, plug a generic cheapo PC 3.5" drive into it, and use that to copy my Amiga floppies to disk images on my PC? If so, is there then any tool I can use to explore those disk images and copy files out of them?

Subject: PiMiga 3.1.4 revision error?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi all! Original A500 user here, and fighting mental cobwebs. I have a MiSTer and pi 4, and decided to give the hi-res pimiga a whirl. Actually works well out of the box, except upon running shapeshifter, it turns my screen grey and pi freezes (tried f12 , tab etc)

I'm thinking I need to update my rom from 3.1 rev 40.68 to a newer revision. Does Amiga Essentials on Android store contain the newest? Or something else I might try?

Thanks! AmiganForever!
