Subject: Amiga, DF0 Gotek/disk drive, easy way to switch?
I have an A1200 with an internal USB gotek drive and an external floppy drive.
Now almost nothing (game wise) will run on DF1, but I don't want to switch out my USB Gotek interal drive for a real floppy drive. (I miss the feel of juggling disks ;) )
So I am wondering, would there be any, not too complicated, way to make the a1200 think df1 is df0? Some way to switch df0 between the gotek and the external drive?
Or could I somehow connect a switch between the ribbon cable of the external drive and the df0 connectors?
If I'd connect the external drive to the internal connector it should read as df0 right?
Thanks!

Subject: Not sure if this is the right place but I'm trying to figure out how load up Pro Tracker with this custom UI. Been searching for information about Pro Tracker but the results are slim from what I'm able to find. I'm on Windows 10 but thought you guys could help.
I found these old Amiga groups on google with stuff from the 80s and 90s, you can search by date and they go back quite far. (Maybe everyone knows about them?)
Quite a fascinating read in my opinion, thought maybe someone else wants to have a look:
(enter date range up top)
There are more too! Wonder how they came to be? Did someone import a BBS into google?
p.s.
Cool stuff to read in hindsight, for instance:

Subject: I'd like to hear your floppy drive repair successes stories
Hi there.
I had 3 kinds of floppy drives come through my door for repairs.
-3 Chinon drives (One was filthy af, filled with clay and sand, sat outside, in a shed for years in an A500, had a faulty change switch as well; took them apart, cleaned the heads, no allignment needed on either of them, all work flawlessly now)
-2 Panasonics (Someone missaligned the heads badly, realligned it by eye, worked 100% for the first time (11/11 in all places in testkit, the other just needed a dusting)
Shout out to GadgetUK164 for all the good repair videos he has done, and made the repairs possible, and inspiring me to start repairing!
I thought I had some challange in front of me, when working with the Chinion that did not read (again, only the heads were dirty, but that's it), and the one that was absolutelly filthy. I'd like to hear your comments on this topic. As far as I can tell (except for the Epsons, wich usually have a head amp fault, and Teacs, which are complicated beyond everyting), repairing and adjusting floppy drives is a straight forward, and easy task. Switches can usually be taken apart, and cleaned, thus restoring them to working order 60% of the time (the other 40% is when you loose the internals XD).
What are your experiences/horror stories/successes about floppy drives? I genuinely want to hear them.
PS: I hope I used the right flair.

I'm looking for story focused RPGs and Adventure games, especially ones that really nail dialogue and have a great soundtrack. Cosistantly good music playing for most of the experience is really important to me.
Not so much looking for arcade style games, or hard strategy games, or puzzle games with next to no dialogue.
Ones that I already know that I probably wanna play:
Adventure games:
Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis
Beneath a Steel Sky
It came from the Desert
RPGS:
Ambermoon and its Prequel.
(that's all that I know, there's more than 2 great rpgs that that have really good dialogue, right?)
Examples of Stuff that I'm curious if they're what I'm looking for. They're just some examples though, tell me what you think fits outside of these titles please?
Adventure games:
Adventures of Willy Beamish
Athanor 1 and 2
Chamber of the Sci-Mutant Priestess
Clue
Darkseed
Dune(The adventure game, not the RTS
Deja Vu
DreamWeb
Legend of Robin Hood, The: Conquests of the Longbow
Lord of Alcandria trilogy
Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy
RPGS:
Elvira 1 and 2
The Ishar Games

Subject: This is my custom amiga 500, what do you think?
Subject: Found this in the attic, can I connect it to a new TV? Can’t figure out what cables would be needed of so.
Subject: Moonstone. A cult classic that should have conquered the consoles (and why it didn't)
Just played this game on the Amiga for research purposes on a YouTube series I’m working on. Although it was not my favorite version (even though it was the original), it definitely impressed me with its graphics and sound quality. I had never given the Amiga much thought before now but it was an amazing machine that was way ahead of its time! Defender of the Crown: still introducing people to the Amiga 36 years later!
I’ve included a link to the video below if anyone is interested!

Hi, today i bought an A2000 rev.b but it only displays a white screen.
I got it with a Supra ram card and a Trumpcard SCSI card+hdd and there are also mods installed (those are connected to switches) i have no idea for what the mods are except the rom switcher, maybe someone has an idea?
I've reseated every IC and tried it wthout the mods and without the cards, still the same problem.
Tools i have for repair: DSO, Multimeter, miniPRO
