Hi, would like to install an internal scan doubler in my A500. The 2 options currently available and in stock are the ScanPlus ECS and the Indivision ECS V3. Price is almost the same. Are both suitable for the 500? (not +). Are there any notable differences or reasons to choose one over the other? Thanks!

Subject: Where to find 3D printed port covers and panel mounts for A1200.Net case?
I'm the process of putting a Raspberry Pi 4 and Keyrah into a A1200.Net case. I've got a bunch of panel mounted extender cables for USB, HDMI etc. Most likely I'm not the first person to ever do this, so I would appreciate recommendations and links for 3D print models for covering the port holes and mount the extender cables. All other tips and solutions are also welcome, 3D printed or not.

Subject: Software suggestion for maintaining collection
I have quite an extensive library of Amiga games and I'm looking for a way to catalog them. On my Amiga of course. Can anyone give me a suggestion about what software I could use?

Subject: WinUAE crashes when I want to add "cleaned" CF-Card as Hard Drive
As the title says, WinUAE crashes, when I want to add a CF-Card which I cleaned with Diskpart.
I use Windows 10 and tried 4 different versions of WinUAE, from 3.0 up to actual version.
I started the Software as Administrator.
If I unplug the CF-Card, or even SD-Card, the setting "Add Harddrive" works normally, and I get a list of all actual hard drives.
As soon as I plug in the CF-Card or SD-Card and start WinUAE, then try to add a Hard-Drive, the program force-closes before the list of drives opens.
Any Idea what could be the possible reason?

Subject: Gaming: if you liked ____ (new game) then you might like ____ (old game)
According to Lemon Amiga, there are over 4400 Amiga games. I sure as hell haven't play anything near that. It occurs to me that there are bound to be gems I've missed, but wouldn't even know where to begin looking.
Thought it might a fun idea for a thread to have people recommend a new-ish game they've played (and enjoyed) and then suggest an Amiga game that's reminds them of it. Bonus points for explaining why.

Hey all!
Please visit my new sub: r/CrackIntros a dedicated Subreddit to share and preserve the programming code, art and music skills of a dedicated underground group of talented people. Here you will mostly pay witness to crack intros of the time.
A crack intro, also known as a cracktro, a loader, or just plain "intro" - is a small introduction sequence added to cracked software. It aims to inform the user which "cracking crew" or individual cracker removed the software's copy protection and distributed the crack.
Cheers!

Subject: Faulty A500 woes - no boot after DiagRom (did I brick it?)
I don't know much about Amiga repairs yet but after some success ressurecting a couple of Spectrums I wanted to try and get an A500 back up and running, so I bought a Diagrom 1.21 for some testing.
At first I was running diagnostics OK and finding a few issues with memory but after 30mins or so of testing I started to get the "illegal instruction detected" error and now I can no longer boot to workbench from the original ROM. I simply get a white (flashing?) screen :(
The machine would originally boot to workbench but fail to load games past crack/trainer/workbench screens.
Now, on booting with DiagRom, I only get the "illegal instruction detected" screen with the address errors and no main menu.
Basically, have I fried something? xD
I've uploaded pics from Diagrom from when it was working: https://imgur.com/a/l2UJ2Ql
Do these address values mean anything to anyone? Is there a hope of saving the machine? The board is 'fairly' clean. We had a leaky Varta battery on the expansion RAM but corrosion did not make it onto the board, however it clearly picked up some moisture in storage as I can see some spotting and very faint corrosion on the traces from memory to CPU (see pics).
I'm now pretty angry at myself for potentially messing up a fixable machine!
I'd be very grateful for any help or input so I can have a working Amiga back in my life. I'm now looking into replacing my cheap multimeter so I can do some proper testing on the traces and memory but I'd really appreciate a place to start or a link to further resources.
Any help (or consolation) is welcome!
Thanks in advance.

Like the title - anyone know how the two differ, aside from the CD32 game having a full soundtrack?
Also looking for a place to snag the CD version (as an LHA for the 500 Mini).

![]() | This gem of a game was created by Graftgold and published by Renegade software in 1995 for amiga. It was one of the first games I played. Your objective is to purge the game of viruses with a digital armoured virus exterminator or DAVE. I didn’t find a lot of fanart on the web so i decided to give it a shot. I will share links with my first comment for a full 3D preview [link] [comments] |
