Subject: My youngest playing on the A500 mini. He loves pinball dreams
I’m lucky enough to have a Dell 2412M monitor that supports the Amiga’s 15khz signal and have booted up my A1200 with a mouse to USB adapter (no tank mouse!) and video adapter and all’s good…apart from the keyboard’s not working, at all.
Not a single key works, and caps lock doesn’t respond when pressed.
The ribbon cable looks fine and seems secure at both ends…is there anything I can do to get it working?
I’ve also got an A600 - can I use the keyboard ribbon cable from that?

Nice to see DPaint etc running. That sysbench score is pretty wild, too

Subject: Does anyone know where can I source a 3d print that would fit in an A1000 case, exactly like if it was the mainboard?
Long story short I want to do a non-destructive conversion of my A1000; removing the board and replacing it with a small computer board. I could just leave everything dangling in it but I would like to do some better job to be honest.
I saw some users on Ebay sell 3d printed parts to use in original Amiga and C64 case to use something like a RPI in it; but nothing related to the A1000. And I am not looking at a kit; I would like to just have a 3d layer that would fit where the original main board of the A1000 would sit; so I can screw on it the components I need for the SBC; in this way no parts of the original case are touched.
I have no skills in making 3d files for printing; so I was hoping that someone did anything similar that at least I can use as starting point, and send to one of those companies that offer 3d printing services (I do not have a 3d printer, and considering the size of the A1000 mainboard, I doubt it would even fit on an entry level printer :D )

Subject: My Amiga 2000 - it’s in pretty bad shape and I’m not great at repair work, but good enough with soldering and all. Does anybody know what might be wrong?
Hi everyone,
it's been a long time since I knew my inner Amiga workings. I'm going through my collection atm and want to narrow things down to just one to keep and run. What is the difference between the 500, 1000 and 2000?
I've tested old disks on the 500 and they work well, but I actually like the aesthetics of the 1000 more, is there a reason not to keep the 1000? Like will games work on it as they would on the standard 500?
Thanks for your help!
Angela

Subject: How to make the A500 Mini use fullscreen (in USB games)?
All of the USB games I've tried are running in windowed mode, using maybe 80% of the total screen height.
Toggling "Screen fit" doesn't seem to do anything - so is there a setting I'm missing that makes games fill the entire heigtht of my 32" LCD (while still keeping the correct aspect ratio)?

Subject: what can make a working disk not load?? (see text).
i have a few amigas and they all load games fine, however i have one set of disks which just baffles me. The disks in question are an original store bought copy of second samurai.
In all but one amiga they load, in my little workhorse a600 the disk starts to read then i'm met with a screen with just 3 red and 3 blue vertical bars
is there some sort of cleaning or calibration i can do?

ive been looking to see if i found it to then install an amiga emulator... i want to make 3d for my game but in lightwave 5.0 since i am willing to use old tools like old compilers, 3d modelers, drawing adn music programs and ik amiga is good for doing art in general.

Subject: Ski or Die -- Innertube Trash -- Ski or Die is a 1990 winter sports game by Electronic Arts for the Amiga, NES, MS-DOS, and Commodore 64. It consists of five minigames which can be played individually or in a set sequentially. (Wikipedia)
I feel they made some really odd choices on the included games with the mini.
Yes, there are some bonafide classics (Another World, Speedball 2 etc) some popular titles (Project X, Supercars 2, Chaos Engine) and a bunch of really weird choices (Arcade Pool? Lost Patrol? Titus Fox? Dragon's Breath?).
Part of me wonders why no Moonstone, IK+, Sensible Soccer, Flashback or the like.
That got me to thinking - does anyone know how long software rights last on the Amiga? Are Amiga games and utilities considered abandonware at this point? Or is there some other reason for not including more of the top 10 (cost/won't play nicely with hardware/other) in the mini.
Would be curious to know more about licensing rights.

I feel like an updated version of Moonstone would kill it on Switch. (I just finished a round of it and it's as good now as it ever was).
Probably also something like Fiendish Freddy, Supercars 2 and a good few more.
If you had a magic wand, which game would you want remade for today?

Will the A500 mini support 2 mice for games like hired guns or lemmings 2 player or does it have the same limitations like winuae?

Subject: A500: controller ports with reversed issues: port 1 right mouse button doesn't register, port 2 left mouse button doesn't register.
Topic says it all, for my A500, the mice plugged into the controller ports seem to have a reversed issue, RMB on port 1 doesn't register, LMB on port 2 doesn't register. It isn't the mice either (I have two), I swapped them and the issue is the same and seems to be due to the ports themselves. The mice otherwise are fine, movement and the working mouse button on either port check out. Checked using keirf's Amiga test kit.
Any ideas? Not really much here for mods for it that I know of other than having put a kickstart 2.04 rom put in, which I did myself. It's a rev 5 board, PAL machine running on a ntsc power supply (no idea if any of this matters but just sharing everything different I can think of).
At the very least, this confirmed that the two mice both fully work otherwise, although a broken chip somewhere is potentially more annoying. Nothing else seems out of the ordinary (sound works, graphics are okay, chinon drive works, external gotek drive on an adapter works, keyboard works, etc etc).
