Subject: Selling on this platform?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello fellow Amiga lovers. I'm aware of the rule about the ebay posts, but I was wondering if direct sales are allowed on this sub reddit? I have 2 complete in box systems that I am wanting to find a good home for, but I am wanting to step away from ebay due to the massive amount of fees that come with that. If this is not allowed, I will remove this post. Thank you in advance!

Subject: Mouse and Gamepad available separately from the "A500 Mini Retro Gaming Console Bundle"

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Sorry if this is old news - I did do a search and nothing obvious showed up beyond that kickstarter mouse that seems quite interesting.

That A500 mini which came with a USB Tank mouse and gamepad seems to be having the peripherals available separately.

The mouse and gamepad are listed as $AUD39 each - considering the A500 mini with both is listed as $AUD199. This is available to preorder from www.jbhifi.com.au and can be found if you search "amiga" Supposed release date is 8 April 2022.

I've ordered a mouse on a whim - not especially interested in the system as a whole, nor the gamepad. Interestingly the gamepad oddly when ordered on its own comes in black rather than the beige that comes as a pack in with the system (maybe this is to make player 1 and player 2 be able to tell whose controller is whose) - the page states compatibility as well as expected PC/MAC/Linux support - "TheC64" with a firmware update can use it too.

Subject: How do i format cf card with corrupted amigaOS on it?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I have an amiga 500 with 2mb expansion and wicher508i accelerator card. After installing wicher software, and accelerating the cpu to 50mhz (and i have the proper cpu for this speed), my system after a while crashed, and after booting all i've got, was "dh0 is not a dos disk" error. After trying it with winuae using a cf card reader, the result was the same, so i guess the card got corrupted. What i have tried was: using diskpart to wipe the disk, then using workbench install disk, and hdtoolbox tried to format, and partition the disk for system install. And then i couldn't bring the icon information up, to change the device name in the hdtoolbox to uaehf.device, even tried hdinstool. I tried different workbench disk's, different versions of it, different configurations of winuae(and yes, i had it running as administrator), and still icon information didn't show up. I running out of ideas at this point. I have bought the cf card with amigaos already installed, so i have no experience in this category.

Subject: Amiga 2000HD stopped recognizing the hard drive and CD ROM drive

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Installed WB 2.1 ROM and all related software, everything went smoothly and was working great. Tested several times turning on and off as I checked that it was correctly autobooting to the HD and accessing software saved on it, verifying that the cd drive (chained after the hard drive, both being controlled by the same a2091) was working as well as floppy drive, etc. So far everything is great. Turned it off, put the cover back on, and switched it back on to start loading more software and now it doesn’t recognize either the hard disk or cd drives. Shut down retraced all my steps and now no matter what I do I cannot get access to those drives. The HD toolbox utility shows no drives and simply says “Driver not installed” where previously the drives were listed. Any ideas?
