Subject: CDTV 1411 External Floppy on A600?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Is it possible to use the 1411 external drive in an A600? I figure it's just a regular external drive but just checking before I plug it in considering how expensive they are!

Subject: Amiga 500 Resolution incorrect?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi. I just recently got my Amiga 500 out of storage and I've been trying to get everything set up (and remember how it actually works) :)

Originally I was using a 1084S but it wasn't working (getting it fixed) but I did find a 1080 Monitor I'm using.

I've hooked the Amiga to the monitor using the RGB cable and have set the switch on the monitor to RGB.

When I'm booting to workbench, I am asked if I want to set all display to Interlaced. When I choose "yes" it looks as if the workbench bar is about 1/3 of the way down the screen instead of being at the top.

I'm wondering if I need to change the resolution or something? From what I'm reading there should be a preferences icon in workbench that I can load to change display settings but the icon is missing. I've seen mention of setting "Show All Files" from the workbench bar, but I don't see that option either.

When I load a game, it appears that the display also doesn't fill the screen.

Finally when I'm on a screen with a white background (such as the Workbench), a faint black bar/line goes up the screen. Is this normal?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Subject: Ruff ‘n’ Tumble is still one of my all time favourite Amiga games

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hey everyone, hope you’re enjoying your Sunday.

I might be way off but didn’t Ruff ‘n’ Tumble kinda fly under the radar compared to the likes of Chaos Engine and Bitmap Brothers other games?

Hope it’s cool to post our video here, a good friend and I are making a weekly ‘Old School’ series where we look at games from yesteryear and the Amiga features a lot, so many good memories with this computer.

Thanks 🙂

Subject: Struggling With Amiga Forever & Noddy’s Big Adventure!

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Good evening,

Hope this post is ok.

Sold all my physical stuff when I lost my job a few years ago so have been making do with Amiga Forever.

Really stuck trying to get Noddy’s Big Adventure going! It was an old favourite of my girlfriend’s and would love to show her it again.

I found two sets of Roms (one “cracked” by JISM, the other not). Both get to a certain point and just stop loading. I’m no master of Amiga Forever so could be doing something wrong.

Can any WizzKids (pun intended) out there help me?

Thanks!

Pete

Subject: Options for a A2000

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I just received an A2000 in pretty good condition. It is WB1.3 (34.34) and Kickstart 34.5, 2 x floppy drives and no HD. Board rev is 6.2.

What options do I have regarding storage? I would like to use ADF files and emulate a HD.

Also, I would like to increase RAM and CPU speed, is Terrible Fire a good option?

Thanks!
