Subject: Amiga 500 - white screen on Samsung Mu7000 LCD
Hi redditors,
I need your help... i was trying to connect my old retro computers to my modern TV.
I buy SCART to HDMI converter... It works with Commodore C64...
Then i buy SCART Amiga cable like this one:
https://www.ebay.pl/itm/322398839426
But when i connect it to this scrat to hdmi converter i only get white screen (and som buzzling noise form speakers)... Amiga is starting as when i put diskette with some game it loads it and i can here some music (also this buzzing noise), but screen remains white. Not showing the hand also...
Is there any way i can fix this? Is my Amiga dead :(?

Hi everybody,
sorry for the dumb question, need your help here.
I bought a Sony TV that has a composite input like this:
https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00150369
And I have my Amiga 500 with a SCART cable. How do I connect them? Will it introduce artifacts or input lag?
And, if I buy an OSSC will it give me a better picture quality or not?
Thank you

Hey folks! I spent a lot of my youth on the Atari ST, and in the last several years have been in/out of the Amiga scene as well. Anyway, with the fall season approaching I'm looking for some ideas for fun Amiga games to play. I know there's tons of sites for this but I'd like some random ideas.
I have an Amiga 500 with a basic accelerator (68000 @ 28 MHz + FastRAM) and 1MB of chipRAM (ECS Agnus mod), as well as an Amiga 1200 also with a basic accelerator (68020 @ 28 MHz + fast RAM). The 500 is hooked up to a late model CRT monitor while the 1200 has to use LCD (DVI). I have both machines working with WHDLoad (the A500 accelerator gave me two CF slots).
I'd appreciate any recommendations with these specs in mind :).
(I would like some ideas for multiplayer Amiga games too - either on one computer or over serial port/etc).

Subject: I made a video demonstrating my Commodore Amiga. There are not a lot of videos showing the OS of these things.
Hello folks,
I've been working on a retro game project for Windows and Linux, but recently I've been thinking of also supporting AmigaOS as well. I've never actually owned an Amiga before, so I'm not exactly sure where to get started. My project requires OpenGL 1.1. I'm currently using a Pentium 3 on Windows with the following graphics cards for testing:
Nvidia RIVA TNT2
ATI Rage 128
3dfx Voodoo 3
Matrox G450
3DLabs Permedia 2
I was wondering if you could maybe suggest something comparable as a starting point? Thanks a lot!

Hi, i have an A1200 with a Blizzard II 030 card in it and i've installed AmigaOS 3.2 a few weeks ago.
Now yesterday i received an FPU and installed it right away in the Blizzard card and I right away noticed that workbench is performing better. Directories load much faster. Before there was a noticeable lag when loading the contents of a directory. Which now seems to update almost instantly.
Basically on every post about Amiga FPU's i read that they are useless unless you use software that accesses the FPU directly. Still im seeing my workbench more responsive.
Could it be that AmigaOS 3.2 makes use of the FPU? Or that the specific Blizzard card i have performs worst without an FPU installed, even when the software doesn't use it?
