Subject: Looking through Amiga Format from February 1991. Mostly highlighting some random games. Ishido was a good find. And I'm a CarVup convert now.
What are the best joysticks to use for arcade style games ? Any heavy duty metal ones ? Joypads ? Only 80s and 90s ones

Subject: Old school software that allows you to make backups and save games
Anyone know of any software, 80s and 90s only, that allows you to make back ups or copy the files into the system ?
Also any programs that allow you to save games kind of like game wizard for the dos ? Action replay is too expensive.

Subject: Gremlins 2 Review and the Week's Amiga News! Amigos: Everything Amiga 311
I just bought a functioning Amiga 500 without much prior knowledge of the system (only played on them at friends houses 30 years ago), but I am not picking it up for a few weeks so I have some time figuring stuff out.
I don't have a 1084 display laying around, so I plan to connect it to an LCD display with HDMI and VGA inputs. What cable or converter will I need?
I don't have any Amiga floppies either, but I do have a few .adf files I have used with amiga emulators to play games. What is the best and/or cheapest way to use them on my Amiga 500? It looks like empty Amiga floppies are not easy to come by, so I would prefer to just not use them at all. Would I be able to use any old PC floppy disk and put the .adf files on from my mac with a USB floppy drive?

Subject: I got XWindows running on Debian 3.1 m68k on my Amiga 1200! ;)
I hooked up my old Amiga 1200, which hasn't been used since the mid-90's, and to my surprise, it booted up to Workbench just fine. It's got a Seagate ST9145AG 128MB 2.5" 44-pin drive in it. So, I turned it off and thought that I should image the drive before it fails since it's so old. I installed ddrescue on my Mac and got one of these IDE/PATA to USB adapters (this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAUIA6G ).
I tested it first with another drive (not an old PATA one, just a SATA one from about 10 years ago), and the adapter worked - the drive showed up when I ran "diskutil list" as /dev/disk5. So I plugged in the Amiga drive, and... nothing. Not recognized.
So I did some more Googling, and found some comments about how these USB adapters don't often work on very old, very small drives. Also found some references to needing to support PIO mode. I'm going to keep researching, but - does anyone know any USB adapters that WILL work? Unfortunately I don't have an old PC with an IDE adapter to plug it onto, so I'm stuck with going the USB route. If anyone can give me some info that would help, I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks!

Subject: What is your favourite simulator game on Amiga? (Doesn’t have to just be flight sims)
Awhile ago I ordered an amiga 500 and I am not sure where to go from there in terms of modern upgrades. I have a Gotek floppy emulator installed internally and there is a 512kb add on underneath. The games still seem to run very slow and I’m curious what to get next.
