Yesterday I had a bit of free time and decided to visit one of the local thrift stores. Normally they don’t have much to offer related to retro computers, but as I was roaming around the computer section of the store I spotted the classic wedge-shape that is the A500. Price was only ~64€/75$ and it came with 512Kb expansion memory (flat battery, so luckily no leakage), power supply and modulator. Didn’t think much of it and picked it up.
Today I decided to inspect it a bit closer - opened her up and started looking for rev number, which was not to be found anywhere on the board. That increased my curiosity and I started googling for different pictures of A500 motherboards. After a while I found one that looked like mine. Lo and behold - the cheap Amiga I picked up is a rev 3 Chicken Lips!!!
I cannot believe my luck. Especially because I just found a Commodore 1702 monitor for free at a local recycling space 😲

I had an A1000 so many years ago, when they were brand new! Damn I miss that machine!
I would settle for a 1200 or 500 I guess.
I swear one day when I win the lottery i'm going to have a totally decked out A4000
