How do I get one of those nice Copper Backgrounds for my Workbench? You know, the nice gradient ones which run vertically...

Subject: Checking Amiga discs for bad sectors on Windows?
Might be a basic question, so forgive me if it's common knowledge - I'm just getting into Amiga.
I have an external floppy disc reader for my windows pc. I also have a box of floppies I inherited from someone that I could probably use to write software or games that interest me on. However, I'm getting read errors from some of them on amiga (like the alien breed game). Is there any utility on windows to check Amiga floppies for bad sectors? That way I could use only disks that are still in good shape. Thanks!

Subject: Does anyone know if I can install on A1200 with accelerator the 3000UX OS and how?
I have found online the floppy for the 3000UX and the content of the tape; which to my understanding is basically Unix os with terminal running on Amiga.
I could not find any info about how to install it though; I have an A1200 with a Bizzard 1230 MKIV; is that enough to run UX on it? If so, how do I install it?

Subject: Tips for troubleshooting a possibly bad hard drive on an A2000?
I am attempting to repair an old Amiga 2000 for a friend, that was sitting unused in a basement for years. I've already cleaned up corrosion from the leaking battery and repaired a damaged pin on the CPU socket to get it to power up. Everything seems to be working now, except the machine refuses to boot off the internal hard drive, and when booted from a floppy doesn't see the hard drive.
The computer has what appears to be a GVP A4008 series II rev 1 SCSI + RAM board, with 2mb of RAM and a Quantum ProDrive hard drive installed. The hard drive does spin up, fairly noisily, when the computer is powered up, and the hard drive access light on the front panel of the amiga does flash, but the computer doesn't boot up off the hard drive, only from the floppy.
Is there anything that I can do to determine if the hard drive itself is dead? And any chance whatsoever to get it working again, or should I just accept that this 30 year old HD is beyond recovery?

Subject: Got my first Amiga! An A500 with 1MB RAM and KS1.2
I've scoured the internet for hours and downloaded a load of Turrican 2 midi-batches, but the Theme Song is always missing. And it's by far my favorite. Is it a copyright thing? I dont get it.
Anyone know where I could find it or maybe someone has it flying around on a dusted HD and could send it to me?
Guitar Tabs or Note Sheet would be okay too.
I want to throw it in Reason and have some fun with it, but my ears aren't trained enough to figure out the melody. Help would be appreciated.
