I gave it some love & upgrades but I'm trying to keep things old-school and not over the top. I have ACA500Plus, Workbench 3.1.4 and I'm slowly customizing it. I would never imagine this in 1996 :)

Will an Apollo 1220 with a 20@28hz and 4mb Fast RAM be enough of an upgrade to a stock 1200 to alliw it to run the most demanding Amiga games?

Specifically thinking titles like AB3D, Gloom and the Doom ports. Im itching to delve into the weird and wonderful saga of Amiga FPSs but from what I can see they tend to be the most respurce intensive games on OG hardware.

As above. I have a chance to get a 1230 (with the 030, no FPU, RAM added but unsure how much, no SCSI kit) from a family member and I want to offer a fair price, rather than see it go to Amibay/eBay.

What is such a card reasonably worth? Most of the ones I've seen on AB etc have the FPU, but this one does not.

Does anyone have advice on how to get a new working floppy disk version of Workbench 1.2 or 1.3? The good news is my Amiga 500 is working just fine. The bad news is, my copies of Workbench don't seem to be working. I have a modem cable and software to create new floppies -- IF I have a working copy of Workbench.

Any ideas on where/how I could get one?

Also I own Amiga Forever 9 but it doesn't seem like Cloanto sells Workbench floppies -- I did ask though.
