I’m expecting my a600 back from recap and cleaning. Was considering giving it a bit of a boost for bigger games etc. So what’s better, chip or fast ram expansion? (Ideally both haha). I think most of the fast ram expansions go on top of the cpu? That doesn’t look like it’s too hard to do? In the future I may also want to add a cf card HD. Thanks!

Sorry for the repost, I couldn’t correct the title which had errors in it. Dutch autocorrect partly to blame.

Subject: Dusting off my old A1200, advice on keeping it healthy?
![]() | Hi everyone. I've just dug out my old A1200, and plugged it in for the first time in over 20 years - and pleased to say it powered on first time. I was able to check out some old projects and even had a quick game of Wing Commander! Question - Is there anything I should be doing to ensure it doesn't explode in a cloud of smoke? Similarly, any tips on cleaning up the case and keyboard? Thanks, mikey Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Anyone remember the game where you shoot bad men that pop up out of the background while the camera slowly, VERY slowly pans across the scene? Kind of looks like a police training scenario in old warehouses and buildings like a 1930's mobster thing.

Subject: I don't want to be a d**k to anyone... But I have to ask this question.
Looking at the PiStorm, the project clearly states that selling for a profit is prohibited. And looking at eBay, there is a seller that have put one up for sale at an auction. Basically, the price can go up to extreme hights with all the chip-shortage that is going on these days.
The seller also states, that he have no controll over how much it will sell, because he have set it up as an auction. Wich to me is bullshit, as he is prohibited to sell at a profit. He could set it at a fixed price.
Anyway.
This will repeat it self, if it will go at a high end bid. And thus the PiStorm will end up as a closed source project. And what do people here say? Are people in the same opinion as me, that this is extremely dis-tastefull? I do not wish to see the PiStorm project end up as something closed source and with a high price tag. However. People were warned on the project page, and it seems that people still do not listen. And what about the legality issue? Can the seller do this legally at all?
I mean.... Discovering this, just makes me feel like the community are once again being stabbed in the back, or am I just too sensitive about this?

Subject: Amistore.de (Germany) online shop discontinued
Oh. Was anyone aware of this? Hyperion Entertainment need to remove them from their list of AmigaOS 3.2 vendors. Looks like this is directly related to Coronavirus situation. Sad. :-(
