Im wondering if anyone is familiar with this sidecar.
I had it setup on my Amiga 500 and it worked great. Then the drive died to I picked up another scsi and used the trumpcard pro software to set it up and install workbench 2.04 (my a500 has kickstart 2.0) it all setups find but when i restart it doesnt from the drive. The jumper is still in the autoboot position. I tried a second scsi drive same thing successful install of workbench but doesnt boot.
Im new to having a hard drive in the amiga so could be im missing something super obvious. The drive is set to scsi id 6 and is terminated.
Anyone have any ideas?
Many thanks.

Subject: Gotek question - different functions for buttons and rotary dial?
Recently got an external Gotek set up for my Amiga 500. It is a model with both the rotary knob and the up/down buttons.
As far as I know, the buttons are kind of redundant, so I'm wondering if they can be assigned different functions. For example I'd like if they could jump up or down the file list in larger steps, while the knob remains for "fine adjustment" one disk image at a time. Is this possible, perhaps in the FlashFloppy firmware options?

I had posted here a while back asking for info on the best replacement keyboard solution for the A1000, and /u/banksy_h8r suggested USB2Amiga -- https://github.com/SvOlli/USB2Amiga. I finally got the build working today! I had a really major a-ha moment when it started working!

What about doing it this way?
Booyah! All this was done from my V4 in a VNC session to a linux box. It gives an FPGA pretty functional modern web access - through a remote session - but everything can be uploaded or downloaded from the Amiga through the VNC session and to the V4 from the web or from the V4 to the web. Which is cool functionality for a machine that is operating on basically early 2000's CPU power. I'm listening to music on the V4 while doing this. It basically means that you could effectively do almost everything you might want to do from the V4 - without ever directly accessing a modern machine. I mean - the VNC server is an i5 - so - you ARE still technically using modern computing power - but it is all happening from the console of the V4.
I'm pretty stoked. I'm sure I can polish the rough edges - I had the problem with being able to cut and paste images in browsers on Raspbian OS too - and there is some fix for it. Linux just isn't good at object linking and embedding - and never really has been. OS X and Windows have always been far ahead in that regard.
