Subject: Good MT-32 tracks?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

A while back, I installed the MT32-pi addon into my MiSTer and I'd like to start listening to video game music that takes advantage of it. Can anyone recommend some games that have good built- in sound modes? The only one I know of right now is the X68000 version of Akumajō Dracula. Thanks in advance!

Subject: Choplifter Arcade Core

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I'm looking through the arcade cores and shocked to see choplifter from the early 1980's missing. Does anyone here know of a miSTer project dev attempting to bring this core to life? I'll donate some money if you can point me to the right person working on this core. Thanks.

Subject: Weird issue and please help

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I just bought the mistercade last week. I assembled the mistercade last weekend, put the sdram. however, it has the ram issue and all the games require ram does not run. I thought it was something wrong with the ram and maybe it did not plug in firmly, so I deassembed it and installed it again. And after that, it seemed work. However, after a week (I didn’t play it during the week), and yesterday it had the ram issue again.

This is a weird issue. Anyone has any advice or suggestion, most appreciate! Is it a sdram issue?

Thanks a lot!!!

Subject: Are there updated instructions on how to setup racing wheels?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Now that Outrun is out I wanted to try setting up a racing wheel. I've seen a few dayed videos and forum posts but nothing that looks recent (i.e. has been written since wheel support was merged into MiSTer core). Anyone have an updated guide?

This was the best I could find: https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?p=66567#p66567

Subject: Ultimate SNAC mini

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Ultra noob here, I want to try some original controllers. Is "Ultimate SNAC mini" good enough? As I understand every SNAC adapter is limited by corresponded core? Also, is it possible to use one controller to play across all cores, like with the Sega Saturn controller, for example?

Wickerwaka nailed it and even if the core is alpha the games that work seriously just work. I finished In the Hunt and R Type Leo zero issue

Subject: Core settings for CRT on composite

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I have composite working in color by separately downloading and using Mike's YC cores. On each core I change the video settings inside each core to S video and it switches from black & white to color and works perfect.

How do it get this working on the current normal cores downloaded through Update All script? I can't find any setting to change it. Everything works great but all cores are in black and white with no color. Anyone know how to fix this?

No VGA mode after update all

After running update all 2.0 with downloader 1.6 on Mister V230223, I still don't have a VGA mode so I can use S-video. In case it matters, I recently downloader wizzo's unofficial scripts for favorites & search functions. Any reason VGA mode isn't showing up? Thanks

Subject: MiSTer to 20M4U PVM RGB

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

My MiSTer seems to be outputting all of the correct voltages besides Green which is at almost 4v. I'm in RGB mode with sync on green (sog)=off and ypbpr=off. Switch for sog is also off. Is this safe for my PVM? The manual specs only want .7v on green (as well as blue and red) and 4v on sync. All are close enough besides green

Detailed voltages unplugged from PVM: R (.89v) G (3.6v) B (.9v) H-sync (3.06v)

Thanks

Subject: Logitech G923 no analog detected

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I’m trying to use my Logitech G923 wheel on the MiSTer, but neither the “Define joystick buttons” script nor the “Gamepad Input Test” utility see any analog input.

Digital buttons work like a simple dpad+ABXYL1L2 and most of the rest of the wheel buttons do not register anything either.

Is this a known issue with the G923? I’ve looked in the ini settings to see if I missed anything but wheel force is the only relevant thing I see.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Subject: Arcade buttons

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I have a jamma cabinet, I have a mistercade on the way. I would like to add buttons and maybe a trackball to the control panel I don't really care much for the original game but I would like to be able to restore it fully at some point so I plan on making a whole new control panel and saving the original.

What options do I have for configuring this with the mistercade? I would also like it to still take coins for credits. I have a little experience using xinmotek controller with PC but I don't know if that would work with the mister. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated
