Subject: I just set up my MISTer multisystem, with snax(not snac) ping me with questions
Ive seen a million videos of people playing it but no mention of how to get it. I thought it was released with the last update but I dont have it. Reran update all and enabled all the alternative cores, still do not see it.

I use my MiSTer primarily to run arcade cores, connected via HDMI to my monitor.
What’s the best way to capture the HDMI output?
The ideal scenario for me would be a device that sits inline with the HDMI cable and just continually captures say the last N hours (like a security cam). Then when i’ve done something magical i can grab the most recent recording.
But initially i’m looking for anything to get me started.

Subject: Noob friendly MisterFPGA build for connecting to CRT TV with SCART input
Hi guys,
What would be the best solution for me to just buy and connect to my tv to play retro games? What are good pre-built options you would recommend?
Thanks

I just set up my MiSTer & put a few SNES roms in my games folder. They don’t show up when I go to load them. All my roms are .ips files. Do I need to rename them or convert them with something?

Subject: Does misteraddons.com offer free shipping for orders over $50?
I have the case in my cart and could swear I thought I saw free shipping over $50 earlier today but it’s gone now. No big deal at all, but just wanted to confirm if someone else might know. Thanks.

Subject: Analog IO board, Ram, what else do I need for complete setup?
So I am ordering the MisterAddons aluminum case. I am going to order a de-10 from Terasic. I know I need to also buy sdram module, analog IO board, but what else do I need? I intended to display the misterfpga on a 1080p plasma tv and sony pvm at the same time. Do i also need this usb hub + switch? I would love to use an original controller but how many frames am I losing from usb over snac? Thanks so much!

Subject: Only express delivery available ($42.79) from Terasic website? No international economy?
Has this always been the case or is this new? Just curious. If this is the only way I can score one then I’ll bite the bullet. But please confirm for me. Thanks!

Just a heads up. I see many posts about “if I order from terasic I’ll have to wait 2-3 months so I’ll go to eBay” or similar. I decided to order a second for an arcade project and it shipped in more or less one business day (ordered late Friday night, got a “shipment prepared” notice Monday, and a shipped out notice this morning).
…42.79 shipping is still robbery though lol…

While the game is mediocre at best, the GBA2P core allows you to have a seamless couch co-op session of games you may have never played 2 player before. There are the obvious choices, Zelda, Mario Kart and even Contra, but my son and I had a good time with this one. Think of it as sitting down and turning on a good B-Movie action flick. It's gonna be bad, but that kind of makes it fun. [link] [comments] |
Subject: Best equipment to display on a Sony 29” KV-2964AS Trinitron?
I've got a Sony 29” KV-2964AS Trinitron that can display both component and S-video and I was wondering what equipment I should get to connect it with? I have a MiSTer Multisystem and I'm looking at the back on the inputs and it has HDMI and VGA/component input on the back. Should I get the VGA to component cable and get an S-Video adapter? Is there one cable that does everything that doesn't require additional adapters and works with S-video?

Subject: What to buy as a noob who wants to start Mister?
hello all, i decided to jump into the mister fpga thingym and wanted to get one. I would like to know where to start and what to buy, keeping in mind that 1) i would like to insert/emulate as many systems as possible inlcuded arcade and 2) that i can do it on my crt tv, that's the main reason why i am getting it. i have already a real life colelction of consoles connected to said crt,and i recently bought a turbo chameleon for my c64, which also runs some mister cores and i thought it's not half bad, so i would like to get the "complete" package let's say, as long as i can connect it to my crt tv monitor, no hdmi or similar. i have a vga to scart cable that works with said tc64 so i hope i can use there too

Subject: Disabling cores from downloading & updating via update_all ?
Hi there - I love using update_all, but I don't want it to download cores that I never use. Is there way to specify what it will & won't download? I know in the settings menu there are a few options, but I'm looking to disable specific cores from being updated. Is there any way to to do this?
Cheers
