Subject: Anyway to remap all arcade core credit and start controls in one go ?
There seem to be a lot of inconsistency with how credit and start are mapped to a controller.
Is there a way to change them all at once or do I need to do it on a per core basis?.
Im building a fight stick so have buttons for credit and start whereas most cores use L and R and other reverse this so its R and L.
Thanks

Subject: I’d like to replace my mame arcade with mister. Is it possible to navigate the cores without access to the physical reset button or a keyboard ? I’m currently using bigbox as my front end and it’s easy to navigate in and out of the menus via the arcade control panel.
My Asus USBAC53nano rev 1 does not work on my mister. Are there any logs somewhere? Any ideas? Wifi worked until today

This post is meant to be helpful for anyone attempting to use an xbox one controller wirelessly with their mister.
I was originally trying to use the controller with the wifi + bluetooth adapter that misteraddons sells with not much luck. I ended up changing two things, so I'm not 100% confident what made the difference. I got a meanwell psu and updated the firmware in the Xbox one controller. It now works via Bluetooth. The lag is noticeable though. Wired, the controller is much better in that regard.
So if you have trouble pairing an Xbox controller, try updating the firmware on the controller. It may make the difference.

Anyone else have issues with this core? I got the core and the ROM from the update all script.
The shooting sound was originally correct but it changed on a dime for me and I can't revert it.
After returning from a pause all credits and game progress is erased. During pause, constant video and sound glitching.
Do I need a different ROM to play this or do I need to send a ticket to the developers?
Thanks. It's a classic game and I would love to just see it run as normal. Shouldn't be too difficult since this is a 1978 game.

Curious why 529x240 shows up under misc. options when I have 1920x1080 specified in the config.ini? I tried uploading a picture for more clarity but was unable. But I have two resolutions listed under IP address when I hit f12 and tab over to misc options screen where it also shows core and global volume

Subject: Is it possible to set custom paths with update_all.sh from https://github.com/theypsilon/Update_All_MiSTer/ ?
Hi. I have been thinking about finally trying update_all.sh
from https://github.com/theypsilon/Update_All_MiSTer/
One thing that has kept me away is the fact that I use custom paths; that is, I have _Computer
, _Console
, _Other
, and _Utility
living under /media/fat/_All/
and have things like, e.g., Nintendo.rbf
symlinked to the latest _All/_Console/NES_*.rbf
, so the root of /media/fat
just has a few select/common things.
I decided to do this originally to make it easier to navigate for the non-technical users in my home, so that they don't have to wade through so much to get to the console/computer they want, but everything is still accessible under the _All/
folder.
With update.sh
I could have have the update.ini
with:
CORE_CATEGORY_PATHS["computer-cores"]="$BASE_PATH/_All/_Computer" CORE_CATEGORY_PATHS["console-cores"]="$BASE_PATH/_All/_Console" CORE_CATEGORY_PATHS["arcade-cores"]="$BASE_PATH/_All/_Arcade" CORE_CATEGORY_PATHS["other-cores"]="$BASE_PATH/_All/_Other" CORE_CATEGORY_PATHS["service-cores"]="$BASE_PATH/_All/_Utility"
And that would override the default paths and all was well. It would be great to be able to do this with update_all.sh
but I cannot find any info on it.
Thanks for any help.

Subject: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom / MiSTer FPGA / Arcade
Hope it's OK to post this here - the reason - I am a MiSTer FPGA owner and just found this - this core really needs more exposure.

I asked this question on the official forum, but haven’t gotten a response. I’m trying to enable the paddle function on the joystick, but the “A+Back” button combo doesn’t seem to be doing the trick. Is their some firmware update I’m missing? TIA.

Hello I have been looking at this all with a lot of interest and I finally decided to take the plunge on all of this so I can have some fun with games and stuff, I'm trying to get all the stuff for the MiSTer and I have found I haven't been able to find IO boards, USB hubs or a Case and some other stuff too. Is this due to the chip shortage last year? Also would I be able to use parts I get from different online sellers and does anyone know anywhere where I can find the stuff I need in stock?
I hope this isn't too much to ask and that I'm not breaking any rules by asking for this advice and thank you all

I have been finding parts thanks for all of you who helped me and I keep seeing this BlisSTer USB hub. What is it and what is the difference between this and MiSTer?

Subject: Is anyone working on a Macintosh II core (System 7) ?
My childhood computer was the Apple Macintosh IIci and I would love to get a MiSTer to reproduce it. I have tried software emulators but it didn’t feel quite right. I know there is a MacPlus core but it is not the same. Do you know if anyone is already working on that ?

Subject: Last update all gave me this annoying notice on resets.
I have been looking at more boards and this one caught my eye, what is it for and what does it do?
I hope I haven't been asking too many questions lately
