I’ve been thinking about finally dropping the money on a MiSTer setup. Probably going the Analog IO board route and I’m currently in the market for a PVM. Do you guys have any good case recommendations? I think that it looks cool in the naked configuration but I’m sure at some point a case would be beneficial for protection.

Subject: What are your preferred buttons for Coin, Pause, P1/Start, and P2 for Arcade Cores?
I’ve been mostly going back and forth between assigning P1 to START and COIN to SELECT and assigning P1 to START and PAUSE to SELECT, but not sure where I should assign the rest so that all four (Coin, Pause, P1/Start, and P2) are mapped to a button. What’s common mapping for all these or what is your preferred mapping?

Subject: Has anyone tried Antonio Villena's luma trap cheapo vga to composite/s-video adapter specifically to work with Mike's Custom Cores?
So I've known about Antonio's VGA to composite/S-Video adapter, but there's this new version made specifically for Mike's Custom Cores.
https://www.antoniovillena.es/store/product/cheapo-vga-composite-s-video-adapter/
This flew under my radar. Has anyone tried this?

Subject: Have a USB hub v2.1 running a WiFi dongle and two usb controller adaptors (Monster Joystick 9 pin adapter). Not a huge load. The VBUS is dropping to 3.4v causing the adaptors to fail when the dongle is plugged in. Still a steady 5v on the barrel input. VBUS is enabled. Any ideas?
Hello,
I would like to stream my gameplay to my friend through discord running on my desktop computer which is next to my T.V. So running cables between the mister and desktop computer is no problem.
I would like to play the Mister on my T.V. and have it also stream to discord as an application instead of streaming my entire desktop, although if that's necessary then I will be willing to do that.
I don't want to run a different emulator because I want to show my friend how the Mister works and that I am playing on my t.v. instead of my computer.
Sorry for the newbie question but I don't really stream stuff outside Discord's feature.

Hello everyone!
The other day I got a HDMI splitter so I can quickly switch between my laptop and MiSTer (because my LG monitor's interface is pretty cumbersome when it comes to input switching... now I only have one button to press).
I quickly realised that the HDMI was keeping the LEDs and (sometimes) the fan operating. Now, I know about the issue and have read multiple discussions on that, but one thing is not clear to me:
Will this contribute to wear&tear or otherwise damage my setup? I mean, if the system spends a couple of hours a day getting that little current will it somehow adversely affect its health?
Note, not looking for solutions (I've seen those CEC-blocking adapters, know about pulling pins etc), just asking if leaving the HDMI plugged in can cause any harm.
Thanks!

Subject: @MisterAddons on Twitter: "MSU-1 audio is working now. Hop on over to the MiSTerFPGA Discord server and grab the latest mister-main and snes cores to check it out."
Got the PS1 core running (love it). I have Tekken 3 on it and am trying to play it on a Bravia LED but getting some interlacing - on the RetroTink 5X there is a bob/weave option to address this on a PS1 stock. But wondering if there is something similar or recommended in the core. There is bob, there is weave, but not finding a mix.
