Subject: Screen mirroring to MiSTer?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Is there a snowflake's chance in hell we might ever see something like a screen mirroring app where we can stream audio/video to the MiSTer for easy component/vga/hdmi output from a PC to whatever the MiSTer is connected to?

Subject: Differences in Analog IO Board Revisions?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Are there big differences between the revisions of analog IO boards? Like is there a huge gap between a v5.5 and a v6.1? I’m curious about what updates are made to each board and would it be worth to upgrade from a v5.5 to a v6.1.

Subject: How to verify I didn't receive a defective Analog IO Board

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello all,

I too the plunge into the MiSTer project about 9 months ago. I ordered a DE10 nano from Terasic and everything else from Mister Addons (Analog IO, USB hub, usb connector power switch splitter, VGA-Component cable, etc).

Well everything works great via direct video. But when I enable YbPbPr in the mister.ini and then use the VGA-Component cables to my Phillips CRT, I get a purple rolling image. I have tried flipping the SOG switch to no avail. This happens on every core including the menu core.

I also have a VGA-SCART cable. My plan was/is to RGB SCART mod a Trinitron that I have (Only has composite and S Video), and this would verify if its the IO Board or something else.

Well 9 months later work/school etc have made me put that project on the back burner. I was wondering if there was a cheap and easy way to see if it's my IO Board??? or does the MiSTer Component Out just not like my Phillips specifically (Ive heard sometimes YbPbPr doesnt play nice with certain, essentially random CRTs).

Any advice appreciated :)

Subject: Shaking SNES CRT Output

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hey, so I’m having an issue with a slight shaking of the image in the snes core that’s causing me pretty bad eyestrain. It’s not happing in any other cores. I’m connecting to a Toshiba crt via the vga analog out to component. I’ve tried toggling most of the video options in the .ini but no luck. Don’t know if anyone else is having this issue?

Cheers

(I would post video but it doesn’t capture the image shake well)

Subject: Best spot to order full setup, parts or asembled

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Seems supply is hit and miss, so as to avoid using a ton of different vendors, anywhere that has all the stuff I'd need would be great (bonus points if in north America) I soon aim to build my first setup, I wanna do everything (sharpx68000 and the cave arcade boards are specific interests) prices have gone up, and places are sold out of lots of stuff. So I would love some direction where to buy everything (usa a plus, just don't want slow shipping. Thx for any help! :)

Subject: Cloud Connectivity Kit

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

The cloud connectivity kit (P0685) contains the exact same nano as P0496, right? There's no modifications to the de10 in the kit? Dumb question, but the lead times on those kits are significantly less.
