My order from Mouser was due to ship 31 Jan. Now moved to 29 July. Anywhere actually have them in stock?!

Subject: Complete beginner here. Literally just discovered Mister less than 4 hours ago. Can someone explain to me how this work?
Really really dumb question. I was trying to figure out how it works. I understand that the fpga copies the hardware functions of various systems. But where are these systems hardwares stored initially? In the fpga or? Do you have to reboot every time you want to change system? Lol its 4am and i read many many websites but i still am very confused. Sorry!

Would be cool to watch old stuff through MiSTer connected to older displays

I would like to jump into the MiSTer universe. I am rather impatient, and would like to get going as soon as possible. I would ultimately grab a pre-built unit if there were any in stock. It looks like I could slowly piecemeal one together, which would sort of satisfy my need to get hardware sooner than later...but this would mean multiple shipping charges from different suppliers. From what I have seen online, it does not look overly complicated to put one of these together, but I am by no means an expert. So, to those of you who have built one....how hard was it? Should I wait for a complete kit?

Is there someone compiling the updates and posting them for download? Or if someone can share PM me. I really don't want to install Quartus and I'd like to just try them out.
Thanks

Is there a way to globally reset the MISTer so that it like reloads the stock ini file and just...works? I uploaded the fighting fantasy and did the update and when i tried to play it the MISTer locked up and now it won't do anything even when i restart it...

Subject: What is the outlook for the PSX final release core?
Me finally pulling the trigger on this project is largely based on psx compatibility. Are developers fairly confident about the abilities of the PSX core? Or is this more like a fun way to try and push the project, but probably won’t be completely up to snuff for the whole library?

My understanding is that the heavy hitters like Snes and Genesis are pretty accurate, but are there any cores that are subpar compared to original hardware? Is there anything that even the popular cores can’t replicate? Just trying to get a sense of the limitations of Mister’s emulation.

I’m thinking to buy a ps2 controller adapter so that I can use my ps2 controller on the mister. What controller solution do you use for mister?

So I was wondering if it’s still best to use windows 3.1 for 90’s games or if performance would be improved with 95 or 98. I’m thinking mostly educational games math blaster and Mario typing but also some later stuff pajama sam and putt putt. Also jump start 5th grade stands out in my memory

I'm planning on using an OTG hub instead of addons USB board. Will any 4-5 USB OTG hub be fine for a couple of arcade sticks or would i need something like a powered USB hub for that?
I'm not planning on using Wifi or bluetooth dongles. Just running this mostly as an alternative for an arcade board for myself and guests. Thanks!

I have been using the excellent BBC micro core, using a vhd available online. But I was wondering if it is possible to boot into the Basic prompt? Thanks.
