Hi all.

I have Emby on a media center PC that I want to have automatically download new episodes for shows, newly released family movies, etc.

I have Emby installed on a Samsung television and am trying to understand things like Sonarr and set up stuff and leave it be. The computer would also be plugged in directly to HDMI on the television also by the way.

The end goal would be to have Qbitorrent or whatever works best to scrape for shows, save them to the hard drives, then have Emby refresh each night (the Emby part is easy).

Does anyone use Emby for something like this? I'd like it to be the Netflix and Amazon Prime killer

I’m a university student and I am obliged to attend all my classes. The problem is I’m a commuter student. To this day I never had any problem because even if I was late or I was at home I could check myself as present in class remotely, but now I have to be connected to the Wi-Fi in order to do it. So is there anyway I can do it?

But I don't know what to look for. I'm willing to get higher quality at the cost of download size.

I wonder if just downloading the highest sized 1080p option is the way to go?

Are there any keywords.. tricks I should pay attention to?

I recently moved to Germany from South Asia where I used to pirate stuff pretty often. I’ve been warned very strictly to not pirate anything in Germany as they’re very quick to crack down with fines etc. Is that true? What are some safe ways to pirate in Germany? Copy the spotify link, it could be an album, a Playlist, or a specific track, then you paste it in the search bar of spotifier. Then download the song. 320kbps apparently. Even though it's not exactly near 320 kbps, the quality is decent enough.

I've read some stuff before asking this, but I'm still confused. I'm using cloud flare DNS right now since I've read it's the fastest, but also that privacy is an issue. Yet then, I've read that speed isn't important anyhow since most other DNS are <100ms. Which is why I'm considering switching, can you recommend some? Also, how do I set those up? I'm not sure if I misunderstood, but I understood that i.e. using mullvad DNS needs more set-up than just typing in the "100.64.0.7" in your router config and being done...
