Subject: Does the India method for cheap YouTube Premium still work?
My subscription is coming up for renewal and was wondering if this method still works

I know, that you have to download the launcher first, and then buy the game itself through it. But is there any way to pirate it?

I was originally going to just search the mega thread but with it currently in the process of being updated for the new year I figured it may be best to just ask what is a good site to get some torrents. I haven't pirated anything since the good ol pirate Bay days so I've been out of the loop for a while. I'm looking to download a few episodes of a show that have been removed from streaming services. Thanks for any help that you could provide to getting me back on the piracy boat!

Subject: Would you download a TV show if it was transcoded to AV1 (assuming visually lossless)?
So apparently, at least according to scenerules, compressing to AV1 isn't really a common thing. Which fucking sucks, because it is compatible with all browsers (except for Safari but honestly if you're using Mac you've dug your own grave) and has matured enough to where you see consistent space savings vs HEVC.
The BluRay for ATLA is fucking terrible as far as efficiency goes. Each episode takes up a whopping ~5.5GB. So it's not exactly streamable. I am working on the ULTIMATE™ ATLA rip, which means I'll be compressing each episode to <1GB preferably.
So, that being said, given how you usually watch media how would you like this packaged? Hypothetically ofc, you don't have to care about the show.
(Side note: If anybody knows how I could use Tesseract to convert the hardsubs from the Avatar Extras to softsubs, I will literally give you my left kidney (or $100, whichever is more useful). The font they use is Herculanum so I feel that it's possible to feed that into a training algo to get the subs with near 100% accuracy, but I truly do not know how.)

Subject: How can I download this DRM protected view-only video? Downloaded it but it's encrypted.
Hi, I would like to download a series of movies that will only be available to watch until march, some others until June. They're probably already pirated by someone else, but I would like to know how to do it myself, to expand my knowledge.
For example, here's one of those movies. In order to see it, I had to input an email address. After that it tells me I can watch it until March. I tried searching for a m3u8 link in various ways but I couldn't find it.
After a while searching for stuff in google chrome developer tools, I found a link that looked like this:
https://whatever.com/file.mpd?pt=[a very long string of characters]
I found it interesting, and after pasting it on a program called "n_M3u8-cli" It started downloading it.
It downloaded a .ts file and an .aac file which I then joined with MkvToolNix to get a mkv file, but it looks like it's encrypted and I can't play it.
Not so long ago I successfully downloaded a video I found on a chinese site using "n_m3u8-cli" that I couldn't download with any other program (yt-dlp, ffmpeg, and some others) But looks like this thing is different
I never downloaded anything this way before so I would like to know how, if it's possible at all.
I would appreciate any help!

Subject: Would I get in trouble for condoning piracy in a review setting
I'm looking into starting writing video game/movie/etc reviews. Would I get in trouble, legal or otherwise, if I encouraged piracy openly in reviews?

Subject: Got a Notice of Claim of Copyright Infringement, does VPN protect against that?
I know that effectively, when an ISP sends these notices it's an intimidation tactic, because they sent one to my mom a decade ago and nothing came of it.
But I was sloppy (famous last words in this line of work) and grabbed some 3DS games without a VPN, and I'm wondering if the VPN would have prevented the ESA seeing what I choose to download off the internet.

I don’t download a lot. I’ve been using iiNet for ages before they were iiNet. Cloudflare DNS. No VPN. Never had any issues. What are people experiences with Aussie BB like in this situation?

Subject: Is there a way to block Deezer's new adblock blocker?
I've been listening to Deezer with just a free account without ads because an adblocker could block them but recently they updated their adblock detection so it doesn't work anymore.
Is there a way to block the adblock detection?

Subject: 123movies URL where you can download the movies
A few weeks ago, I had to send my computer for repairs and when they did the repairs they deleted all my browser history and everything that was on my hard disk. As a result, I have lost the URL to one of the 123movies website where you can right click on the movie while it is playing and download it. Does anybody know which 123movie website URL that was?

Subject: Why do streaming sites like 123Movies constantly lock up/stop streaming mid movie/series?
I've used these sites from a number of different locations, with a number of different internet solutions, and on different devices, for years... And it's been a huge problem that more often than not, at some point during the show, the buffering stops. Sometimes it just lasts a few seconds but, most of the time I have to stop watching... it just wont load any more.
Anyone know what's up?

Subject: Trackers for creative assets that have presets, video LUTs, etc for download?
Presets cost most creatives hundreds of dollars. It’s unfair and is part of the same struggle many gamers and such experience.
I’ve searched google and this sub and it seems to be a fairly niche thing that hasn’t gotten much attention. Are there any communities, forums, trackers, private or public. focused on sharing presets luts etc. I know CGPEERS exists but registration is closed. There must be a tracker out there to share creative digital assets. Hopefully it’s private to make it safer. Please help! Thank you.

Subject: NOW TV expects you to download a streaming app that lacks basic features to use its service.
I'm trying to set up Emudeck. I know they can't really tell you where to get roms and stuff, but they pretty broadly gloss over the setting bios, just saying I need them for each of the different systems (I've only ever emulated SNES and stuff that didn't need bios). Do you find that in the same way you find roms, or is there a different process?
