So, in effect, I've been banned from the Trump reddit, and I can't dispute it, because I've been banned from Reddit for 3 days for, um... quoting Joe Biden's words about black kids rubbing his leg hairs - and it all happened *today*, when the posts were 2 days old.

The rules of this game remind me a lot of... oh yeah - the last election.

I scare big social media. That amuses me:

Man, my siblings are amazingly stupid about current events. They think like five-year-olds. And I'm not speaking out of school, as I'm currently parenting my fifth five-year-old.

My sister posts a meme saying that nobody in the Capitol got gassed or shot like BLM protestors did.

I reply with the number of people gassed and shot at the Capitol.

Apparently it doesn't count.

Nothing in their worldview changes from evidence.

Then their idiot friends start talking about how important it is to be equally or more cruel to insurrectionists. Ladies, you were insurrectionists LAST WEEK.

Ah, it's nice to post something and not be banned.

Meanwhile, I'm in love with my RetroPie. Playing Mortal Kombat in the original arcade format is so bloody. Why does that relieve so much stress?

I'm loving the dissonance that makes Libertarians see people who were opposed to people destroying their own communities in Seattle and Oregon "bootlickers," but also makes people who see the people breaking down security at The Capitol in DC and threatening the security of the clowns inside the senate who think they rule us as potentially a GOOD thing as "bootlickers" too.

Literally, the Libs who defended the riots though all of last fall as "standing up to a corrupt system," are now claiming that the capitol was an "attempt at a coup to instill a dictator through a non-Democratic process."

It gives me little hope for humanity when the Libertarians overwhelmingly seem to think that it isn't if you bend the knee, it is if you bend the knee to the right person at the right time.

Jo Jorgenson popularized the Libertarian party to people who think like this, by the way. Attracting and welcoming the, "That ideology doesn't belong here, isn't a part of us," crowd was a bad idea.

People are idiots.

And I'd enjoy the BBS while you can. I suspect there will be kind of legislation drawn that will drive sites like this to underground, anonymous nets. I've been looking into them. I probably should get cracking on getting published through those methods before it is too late.

"Jo Jorgenson popularized the Libertarian party to people who think like this, by the way."

If you follow the numbers, you'll discover that she actually slashed the LP particiation by 70%--the 70% who didn't think this way. The word "popularized" doesn't really fit into the history there.

And it's super gross.

I'm still anti-violence. I know very few events play out that way, but it does happen. The declaration of independence wasn't a declaration of war, but the Brits had pretty strong opinions. On the other hand, the secessions of Romania from the USSR and the UK from the EU went off without any deaths to speak of. So it can work. And if it CAN work, it's a noble goal. Doesn't mean it'll work out.

So, this may be true, yet, at the end of it, the Libertarian party is now dominated by a voice that aligns with the far left on silencing dissent, on supporting violence when it serves their goals, and claiming it is unjust when it works against them - a libertarian party where the dominant voice calls for the police to be defunded, but says that rebellion against the Senate, Congress, or State is simply terrorism.

It may be because 70% of reasonable, traditional Libertarians have left - but where have they gone? In any case, the LP is non-supportable with the current rhetoric that dominates their platform.

I'm still anti-violence as well. My latest blog should make that clear.

But - sometimes, your opposition will have it no other way, as well. In that case, I am anti-violence, but I am no pacifist.

Sounds good but honestly I'd probably be happy for a good long time with the retroPi if you're willing to sell it.  When I'm not in an apartment I would love to build an arcade cabinet using cool tech like MiSTer.

Coming by to look at your setup sounds super fun.  We should do that sometime.  I'll bring meat.

At this point I'm pro-guillotine.  Kill the ruling class.

Okay, probably not.  But I'm pretty damn pissed off at how obviously one sided things are and it's not for the people, and that's gonna break eventually and I won't cry when it does.  Pacifism is outright stupid.

My problem is that I'm easily mistaken for a member of the elite ruling class.

And the actual ruling class is well aware of it. I'm affluent enough to be a target of wrath in any popular uprising by the disenfranchised. I do not, however, have the bulk of my material assets in off-shore accounts and a G4 standing by at Chandler Airport to fly me off to my villa in *wherever* while the lesser affluent are butchered when the poor rise up.
The rampaging peasants usually don't listen to pleas of, "I'm one of the GOOD wealthy oppressors!"

So, I'm in an interesting position.

Lying in wait. Anarchist comedian Dave Smith has decided to take over the LP and there really isn't a structure left after the Jorgensen Slump to oppose him. He has more followers than the Libertarian Party and gets invited on things unlike Jorgensen who has to beg. If nothing else it's going to be funny.

Geographically, the libertarians are fleeing blue states just like non-political people. I heard that studies show Texas isn't being turned blue by the people moving in. They're being turned blue by milennials who grew up there.

Fortunately for everyone, Zoomers are less progressive than millennials. More balanced like Gen X. And since conservatives have more kids than progressives, our population will probably keep moving from STRATEGY r to STRATEGY K!

Flashback to 2017, lol.

You are ever the optimist. I admire that about you.

If you hadn't been paying attention, the vote doesn't actually seem to matter, and it is unlikely that our position will improve over the next 4 years in being able to change that.

So... what is there left for us?

See my post in Cinema.

I think California is going to be the primary economic target of China, now that they can get this thing rolling with little or no opposition.

They're going to gut it. Sanctions will be lifted, and both Hollywood and Silicon Valley will be relocated to China.

In fact, the current lunacy and hypocrisy in San Jose among tech bellwethers may be the exact same strategy we're seeing in California. They're actually outraging at least 40% of the American population - who is ready to jump on deplatforming them and allowing government regulation of their businesses.

If scandals about major Tech CEOs start breaking in the press - that'll be the first wave of this.

I think George Lucas gave the roadmap in Return of the Jedi when Vadar tells Lando, "The deal has been renegotiated. Pray that the Emperor does not renegotiate it further."

They probably figured that if they make all these concessions - China would be happy to simply have us as a population feeding their economy by endlessly consuming their products - and would largely leave our society superficially alone, and would leave them as wardens of the citizens of the United States "We're just a remote gas mining operation and of no interest to the Empire."

I don't think that is true. China fundamentally sees our philosophy as greedy and self-absorbed, even on the Left - and its philosophy as a continued challenge to spreading their morally superior doctrines across the world. We peddle smut, we allow religious views that supersede the authority of the State, we market and merchandise ghetto culture, gang violence, pop culture that promotes sexual deviance and disrespect for one's own culture - we engage in allowing all kinds of "freedoms" which lead to a decadent, morally corrupt society - and nowhere in the US is it more apparent than in the hypocrisies our our wealthiest industries that create powerful sexual deviant Hollywood producers and Tech Oligarchs who fraternize with people like Jeffery Epstein without fear.

The tech oligarchies will find that their sole role moving forward is to do as the State wishes.

That may be the one enjoyable thing about watching this happen. Watching these two industries and all the hypocrites who have profited immensely from them being told, "The deal has been renegotiated - pray that it is not renegotiated further."
