Subject: Some questions about connecting Mister to a composite CRT
Hey there! First time posting here, I think. I tried searching for this and am just trying to get an idea if I'm on the right track here or way off base.
I found a small CRT TV (a little 9 inch Sansui) for cheap nearby. Composite only, but it has stereo sound and won't take up too much space, so good enough for right now, I figure (at least until I can save up and try to buy an amazing BVM someone else is selling locally).
I know there are issues with running the Mister via composite, and that there is a community made adapter for it, but in the mean time I went ahead and ordered this. And I guess what I'm asking is, will this do the job?

I know there are probably some ini values I need to change, and possibly adjusting the VGA jumper voltage, but I'm just trying to get an idea if I'm on the right track or setting myself up to be out $15.
Anyway, thanks for any help you all can offer!

The MiSTer community has become *very* accessible. This isn't entirely a good thing.

I’m not imaging it, right? I have gone to site after site, and no one seems to be selling the metal cases anymore. I feel like I am going crazy.

I know you can reboot via the menu; however, I'm looking for a way to reboot after I've screwed up the sync on my monitor? I see there are key combinations in mister.ini for keyboard reboot, but not a controller. Anybody know how to do this? Thanks!

I just set up my MiSTer and I love it! I only got the 128 MB Ram and the USB Hub Adapter, and playing with 'M30 2.4g 8BitDo' controller since it seems to be the popular pick around here.
I could get the Analog IO board but for now, it would primarily only use it for the buttons (although I don't know what OSD or USER buttons do) and the cooling fan. I guess my question is if it's worth it? I play mostly console, including Mega CD.

Subject: RetroRGB | MiSTer FPGA: 240p over HDMI (Direct Video)
I was hoping someone could help me out with this. I’ve ran the update all scripts to set up my mister, placed the lo, sfix, and unibios files into my neo geo game for, and gotten ahold of the darksoft set. For some reason when I attempt to launch a game I get the unibios splash screen and then what looks like the game running in jumbled sprites and colors. If I wait long enough or press a button I end up getting an error. Address error: bad contact between game and neo geo cause errors so ensure clean contacts. Is this a result of bad roms? I could really use some guidance. Thanks!

Hello folks, I am relatively new to the MiSTer.
- I've got it hooked up to a PVM with a VGA to BNC cable and working great
- I'm loading in all games from a mapped DFS share
- I've got the power supply plugged into a Hue switch so I can remotely turn the MiSTer on and off
Have a few questions for the Linux/tech-minded:
- How can I force FTP to be enabled after a reboot? Currently I need to run the script each time.
- Is there an ideal update script? Also, is there one that auto-organizes MRA files into a better folder structure?
Thanks for any insight!
