Subject: MiSTer FPGA DE10 Nano; new games tested for the WIP Saturn core and added to playable list
I read that, though optimizations may make this issue irrelevant, currently the PS1 and Saturn cores highly recommend using dual SDRAM. However, a SDRAM stick has two chips. Does 'Dual SDRAM' ean 'one SDRAM stick with two chips' or 'two SDRAM sticks with two chips each'?
Excuse me; I am new a this.

I apologize if this may be off-topic (so mods remove if necessary), but I'm not sure I've seen anything from SRG320 in 2023. Knowing where he is living, I understand he has much more important things to focus on than fpga gaming. Just curious if anyone else has seen anything from him this year.
Regardless, there is someone in the United States wishing the best for you, Sergey.

Subject: ISO of USB controller for really small hands so my brother can play Minecraft on my PC
His hands are too small for the keyboard. Maybe if I can’t find one I’ll just order him a small keyboard. I realize this may not be the right community so I’m sorry I’m advance, don’t usually ask about tech tips on Reddit and this seemed like a place where I’d get the answer I wanted lol

Subject: Victim of AliExpress Mister Analog Board Faulty SNAC
As it says above. I am afraid I have fallen victim to a faulty AliExpress Analog IO board. Everything seems to work and has for a couple months now. Just got around to plugging in my Roland UM-One MK2 to test out some MIDI to my real hardware MIDI devices and...nothing.
Are there certain settings that will need changed in the Mister INI for midi to work? I am hoping that it is just user error and that the SNAC port is actually working. I do not get any power lights on the Roland UM-One however when it is plugged into the SNAC port.
If I do have a faulty port, is there a fix for this? I thought I would be good as this one DOES have the pin headers soldered on next to the SNAC port which is what I thought was the sign of it being faulty or not. Maybe I am wrong?

Hi all,
I'm a graduate student student Electrical Engineering. A lot of my background and coursework is related to FPGAs, ASICs, and SoC design. I spend a lot of time using C/C++ and Verilog/SystemVerilog. I'm nearing the point where I'll begin working on my masters project and I'm exploring different topics that I can pursue and would like any suggestions of something I can work on or any papers I can read for inspiration. My research interests include SoC and and Embedded System Design, hardware accelerators, and programming microprocessors and microcontrollers. I'd love to have a topic related to gaming and share the work open source with everyone.
Let me know if you have any relatable feedback as well!

Subject: Probably going to buy a mister. Is the price likely to stay the same or increase?
I've read that it's pretty much only gotte more expensive over time, so I don't have the illusion it will get cheaper, but I've only really been interested in buying one for a couple of weeks. I'd prefere to buy it at a later time, since my finances are pretty restricted at the moment, but if it's only going to increase more, then I'm gonna bite the ~600€-bullet now.
Not looking for the "future vision" answer, just your guys' opinions, as people who have been part of the community a while longer.

Can I drag and drop files between SD cards? I already ran Mr Fusion and the Updater script on the old card. I have all the released cores but no games on them yet. Going from an 8 to 512GB card

Subject: Srg320 Latest MiSTer Sega Saturn Core Development Update
Subject: New anti-spamming rule: Limit self-promotional posts to 1 per 7 days.
After getting a lot of feedback from this thread, it's clear that we need a new rule with regards to spamming of self-promotional posts. So here it is:
Self-promotional posts are allowed on this subreddit.
However, to prevent abuse and spam, there is a soft limit of 1 self-promotional post per 7 days.
First-time or occasional violations of this rule will result in a warning, and possibly the removal of the latest post(s) in the same 7 day period. Frequent or flagrant abuses will result in a temporary ban.
Please post no more than a single self-promotional post per week, so that we can better share this place.
From day one I wanted to make this place a good venue for keeping track of the latest developments in FPGA-gaming news and content, and so I've always felt that allowing people to come here and share what they're making is conducive to that.
But there's clearly a point where self-promotional posts go too far; specifically when they are so frequent that they hurt other the visibility of other posters, or when a large number of users feel that they are being spammed with content (not with the intention of helping or informing readers, but really only to drive traffic to a particular site or channel).
At the same time, I don't want to make it my role to arbitrarily judge intentions of self-promotional posts. So I hope that the new rule is something that is simple and fair enough that it makes the experience better for people who feel like there is too much self-promotional spam here, without singling out or targeting any particular poster.
Finally, keep in mind that moderating this place isn't my life, my job or even my hobby. I'll do my best to keep this place moderated so that it's useful for everyone who wants to keep track of FPGA-gaming developments, including enforcing the rules that we come up with. Report content that violates the rules and I'll take action when it's convenient for me. Otherwise, if you have problems with particular users or content, don't spam me with petty moderation reports, just block the person and move on.
