Subject: Anyone have a printable 3d model for Mister with usb hub and digital i/o board?
I'm like half way done printing this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4415986 but I realized the 3d model is for the analog version of the I/O board. I can't find a digital I/O version and the software I use to 3d model is failing to import the parts I need to modify. I need the top part as well as the side part modified to fit the digital I/O board. Someone else must have run into this....

Subject: Bluetooth connection for gamepad issue - MiSTer setup... Can anyone help?
Hi,
I’ve had my MiSTer setups for a while ... one that I use on the big TV and another that I use with a portable 10” screen around the house
I have WiFi and Bluetooth all setup and confirmed to be working as well as the 128mb module. I am using a passively powered usb hub too.
I recently purchased a retractable gamepad which is Bluetooth 4.0 based - Ipega 9038s. It works really well on windows and android but I am not able to connect it to MiSTer. The pairing script doesn’t find it... regardless of the mode I put it in.
Has anybody else tried something similar? Or perhaps have thoughts about what I could do to try and connect the gamepad.
Unfortunately it doesn’t support a direct USB connection.
Alternative retractable gamepad suggestions are also welcome.

I have a CRT 21'' with Av and s-video input, since I bought a mister fpga kit with mister board, I would like to know if I can connect the vga from the mister board to my crt tv.
This product I have found on amazon is hdmi - svideo, but I think it adds some input lag, right?

Subject: Live Q&A with Alexey Melnikov aka Sorgelig - creator of MiSTer project [Wednesday Dec 30th 7pm GMT]
With the recent SDRAM research results by Jotego, does it make sense to wait to get an SDRAM expansion board? I received a DE10-Nano for Christmas and would like to try out some more cores, but I'd rather not have to rebuy the SDRAM board if there are expected changes soon.

Was trying to take apart my I/O board from the DE-10 Nano to remove the fan and put my MiSTer in the aluminum case. My device will now not connect to HDMI and appears to be missing a pin in the I/O board. Am I gonna have to replace the I/O board?

I mean, it's pretty well known in this community that analogue makes fpga based systems, but the mister project is way more powerful. One major change though is that the Analogue pocket is going to be very portable and (if the respect people have for Kevtris is as justified as it is earned) will be one of the best ways to play many different system cores, not limited to portable, once it actually comes out. The question is, is there anything like it already out? (portable handheld fpga system wise)

I'm trying to use a Mayflash Super Joy 7 PC gameport to USB adapter with an analog 2button joystick. The adapter itself works in Windows and Ubuntu desktop - both OSes treat it as a valid and functioning HID device.
In MiSTer, if I connect to the USB serial console I can see the input events firing on the main menu core. The HID device is clearly recognized by MiSTer - the console shows the X and Y axes values as well as the two button states. But when trying to map my input to this joystick, I can never proceed. The very first joystick axis test, tilt RIGHT, doesn't advance. And if I skip the axis test and move on to mapping buttons, neither of the joystick's 2 buttons are able to be assigned to any of the MiSTer gamepad mappings. It's really bizarre since the HID device is clearly operational on the linux side.
The only thing I've noticed is the X and Y axis max value is defined as 255 per the HID descriptor, but the actual values when the stick is pushed fully n/s/e/w seem to max out around 130-150. Are these low values preventing MiSTer from registering a full "Tilt RIGHT"? Is there a way to calibrate the stick to account for these low values?
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

So I've been curious about this ever since the Analogue Pocket was first announced. Kevtris has done some amazing work with the other Analogue products and my mind has kind of associated his name with the quality of a product. Now that I'm looking at the Pocket's product page I can't seem to find his name anywhere on it. Do you people know if he's working on it or not?

Can I just use any power adapter for the MiSTer, as long as it's DC 5.0 volts, 2 amps, and uses the correct size barrel jack? I found one around the house that should work.
I've been moving the MiSTer between two rooms constantly, and I'm tired of reaching down to unplug the power adapter.

Hi all,
I am wondering if we can make a device out of a single board computer that can sync the frames to the tv. Now we have VRR as part of HDMI specifications but still my old PS3 or Xbox360 does not have it.
If this is the wrong place to post this please let me know.
Thank you

So I heard to solder a 10uf cap onto the 128mb RAM module for CPS1.5 and the upcoming 2. Other than that, if I am just using HDMI, should I really need the I/O board?
I've read about needing a beefier power supply, do I need to if I'm just going to use the USB OTG for the keyboard for the initial setup only, and the wifi and bluetooth dongles normally otherwise.

So I'm still waiting on my order to get here with my kit to get MiSTeR running, but I am now looking at getting a PVM soon, and thus an I/O board and SNAC. I do a lot of Gameboy and GBA running, and it'd be really awesome to see that come. I know other implementations for GBA to TV use SNES controllers, but I have no idea if that's possible to have mapped using SNAC, it's be a big bonus though.

Would a SNAC adaptor work on a Blisster board? Thanks in advance

I purchased a DE10-NANO and 128MB RAM module late last year when the Neo Geo core was finalized, in the hopes of running it in my Candy Cab. Unfortunately, I ran into some issues getting it to work with my JAMMA adapter and, due to having a number of other projects, it's just sat there since then.
Recently though, after putting together a Retropie install for my friend, I was inspired to fire back up MiSTer to try out some of my old SNES favorites. SNES, Genesis, and Neo Geo games (from my original install) were working fine at first, other than the fact that the Neo Geo games would have pixel artifacts at the initial splash screen, and would also occasionally have a singly line of garbage pixels on the screen while playing. I figured I needed to update the Cores, so I ran the update script.
After that point, my SNES core will no longer load at all. I select a game, it acts like it is loading, but then just sits on a black screen. Genesis, NES, and Neo Geo seem to be working fine now, although I haven't tested Neo Geo extensively.
I was also interested in Jotego's CPS1 and CPS1.5 cores, but those all lock up with illegal instructions after a very brief amount of play time. The CPS1.5 cores never even get past the initial boot screens. I've read about the potential RAM issues, but I didn't think that came into play with the CPS1 cores?
I ran the memtest app overnight and had no errors at 140mhz after 8+ hours. The RAM module came from https://www.cbmstuff.com/products.php?cat=3 . I've also ran the RetroDriven and then later the update_all scripts.
Any ideas? It seems like it might be the RAM, but why would it be passing the test?
