Subject: Best monitor stand for vertical arcade games on the MiSTer?
I recently purchased this monitor stand so that I can rotate my monitor vertically and enjoy vertical arcade and handheld games without a loss of screen space and relative resolution.
However, my 19" Sony KLV-S19A10 monitor includes speakers that are built into the frame, and the weight of the speakers tilts the monitor back into the horizontal position (or at least, diagonally crooked) whenever I rotate it for vertical playing. There is no mechanism on the stand to "lock" the orientation into a vertical setting, so I have a thick block of styrofoam which I place under one corner of the monitor in its vertical rotation, to keep it from tilting back toward horizontal.
I purchased the monitor for it's compact size, built-in speakers, and numerous connection types. With those connections, I can support my NES (RF), N64 (Composite), Wii (Component), MiSTer (PC), and Nintendo Switch (HDMI).
Is there a stand that anyone can recommend, which I can physically "lock" the monitor into the vertical or horizontal position?
Or is there a speaker-less monitor with the same variety of connections (and similar size), which won't try to rotate back to horizontal once rotated vertical?

Could this be possible using the unit's LAN or wifi capabilities for some online SNES and Genesis games?
Of course the complex problems would be the fpga recreation of the hardware itself and integration with the existing core AND server simulation (?) ...
Would another silly question be whether this could be achieved via rom modification? (The xband bios is around...)
Anyway just curious because i couldnt see this discussed anywhere and searching only gave results for a Belarusian street punk band called Mister X. It'd be crazy playing online Weaponlord or mario kart

Which dev do you think of when you think of MiSTer FPGA?
This is just a poll to see how much we know the devs. This is not meant to be ranking the devs or placing anyone higher to anyone etc.

Subject: Included PSU and Bluethooth/WiFi dongle on Terasic's webpages
Hi,
I'm ordering a DE10-nano directly from Terasic and I can at the same time order a Bluethooth and WiFi-dongle from their webpage. Are these any good or should I go for other brands?
I also need an European plug PSU. Is the included PSU 110v only or does it work with 230v as well?

Subject: CIFS on MiSTer - games are visible but don't load
I have setup my router (Fritz!Box 7590) to share a USB hard disk on my local network. I can access the hard disk from Windows via SMB by going to \\fritz.box\ or from its IP address \\192.168.178.1\ . I have setup a MiSTer user with read/write permissions on my Games folder, confirmed that this user can read and write, and checked on the router that the MiSTer's logins are successful.
When I run the cifs_mount script on the MiSTer it appears to run successfully and the cores can all see their games under the CIFS folder (the first folder that loads). However, games do not load - the menu closes but the game doesn't start. The GBA core shows the Normmatt BIOS, although I have the original BIOS in the games folder on the SD and USB HD.
I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't find another example of someone able to see but not load games. My settings are below:
SERVER="192.168.178.1" SHARE="fritz/USB_HDD/Games/Consoles/Games" (here I have subfolders like NES, Genesis, etc.) USERNAME="mister" PASSWORD="mypass" LOCAL_DIR="cifs" (I have tried using "*") ADDITIONAL_MOUNT_OPTIONS="" (I have tried "vers=2.0" and "vers=3.0") WAIT_FOR_SERVER="false" (I have tried "true") MOUNT_AT_BOOT="false" (I haven't tried this yet as I don't know what else it changes) BASE_PATH="/media/fat" (I have tried "/media/fat/games")
Does anyone know what might be wrong?

Subject: Mini-ITX Computer Case that looks like a retro console
So, I have my DE10 Nano and a Ironclad Plus board on the way. I now need a Mini-ITX case/PSU to go with it. Per the title, does anyone have a line on something that looks like pretty much any type of vintage/retro video game console and fits a Mini-ITX motherboard? NES, Atari, whatever, just want it to look kinda retro (and not like a computer, stereo, DVD player, or a modern XBOX/PS4/5 whatever). I found a pretty cool C64 case but would prefer something that looks like a console. And yes I've seen case mods and stuff and while I build my own computers I don't know my way around a Dremel for stuff like that.

Hey nerds - is anyone else using Antonio Villena's VGA to S-video dongle to play the PSX unstable nightlies and experiencing awful color-out on their CRT? I'm also outputting over HDMI to my LCD and that renders perfect color.
Cheers!
