Subject: Recommended USB controller adapters for Mister?
Hey guys, I have wireless NES, SNES, and Genesis controllers and I'm looking for USB adapters to use them with my Mister. Any recommendations? Normally I'd go with Raphnet, but it looks like they're not shipping to US anytime soon and their shipping costs are ridiculous.

Analogue Pocket pre-orders went up today, and it looks like it was a better system with last time. They indicated that there will be three groups--Q1 2022, Q4 2022, and 2023. Unfortunatley, the orders don't indicate what group they are in. For anyone else that got a pre-order in, let's share order times and numbers to see if we can get an idea where we all line up.
Order #88176 - 10:03 PT

Subject: Newcomer's understanding of the Analogue Pocket, it looks bad from a community-development perspective, am I wrong?
So I've never owned an FPGA project board, and I have no hands-on experience with FPGA yet. But I have a full understanding of how FPGAs work, and I've read several Cyclone datasheets, because I'm interested in the chips.
The Analogue Pocket looks great from a product design perspective, but I'm a little unsure that it will be end up being the kind of product that everyone hopes it will end up being.
Analogue seems to be making some vague claims about what might be possible with further community development, but I'm not so convinced that they will really allow much community involvement.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of these points:
- It seems the FGPA chip is rather limited in Logic Elements (49k compared to 110k in some of the other popular boards). I've read some concerns that this is going to seriously limit what will actually be possible on this board. A few people have suggested that even SNES won't be possible, as there are too many IC components to replicate with 49k Logic Elements.
- It doesn't sound like the device is going to be open-source in any way, and it sounds like Analogue is going to be hand-picking developers that will be allowed to build cores.
- (I might be completely wrong on this) It seems like porting other OS projects to the pocket might not be possible, because the Pocket doesn't have a hard CPU, just a secondary FPGA. So getting around Analogue's control over the product might not be easy.
It really seems like we can't count on the Analogue Pocket being able to provide much more than the advertised features. If anything we might see a few other obscure 8-bit/16-bit cores? Maybe a few "quality of life" improvements, or extra features?
So this device really only appeals to people who want to use this product exactly the way it's being delivered, and if anything more comes from Analogue or the Community, then that's just gravy.
Am I wrong on this impression?

For those needing a DE10-Nano, it seems they're in stock again at Terasic
https://www.terasic.com.tw/cgi-bin/page/archive.pl?Language=English&No=1046&PartNo=8
No idea on the lead time or shipping time.
It's unfortunate the prices have increased this much, but it's still a deal for what can be done with this little board.

![]() | Hi Guys, I have an essentially new DE-10 Nano I bought from Mouser in 2020 for a project during my final year of university. I recently found it in my wardrobe along with a bunch of other electronics I want to sell. I googled the DE-10 Nano and noticed they are not available on Ebay and not in stock at Mouser, etc. That led me to finding this Reddit group which is full of guys looking to buy the DE-10 Nano. I am looking to either sell it on Facebook Marketplace or Ebay. Or if someone wants to come pick it up that would be ideal (I am in Australia btw). I used the kit from October 2020 until November 2020 then it was stored, so it is essentially brand new. I also want to sell off all the other electronics I used during the project so that would add to the price slightly. I made a spreadsheet calculating the retail cost of all these items along with the links to each (see below). I realise the additional items might not be desired and all these items are used so I am flexible with the price and will listen to reasonable offers. NOTE: I am in Australia so all prices below are AUD. Ideally I'd like to sell to an Australian. Subject: Retro-Bit discontinuing Bluetooth Sega Controllers
Hello!
For any Retro-Bit / Sega controller fans that may use them with MiSTer, just seen a notice from Castlemania that Retro-Bit is discontinuing their bluetooth line of sega controllers.
If interested, you can currently grab Saturn & Genesis ones on sale for $20 apiece while they still have stock.

Subject: Any reason my Mister's "Update All" script downloaded the European versions of some games?
A few months ago I downloaded a bunch of the Jotego cores, mainly the CPS-2 core. The mame getter seems to have given me the European versions of a bunch of these games. I guess it doesn't matter since they play fine, but does anyone know why it defaulted to that?

Subject: Dropped inputs on PS4 controller over Bluetooth?
I'm having trouble with my MiSTer setup where my PS4 controller inputs get "stuck" or inputs begin to drop. I'm using a TP-Link Bluetooth dongle that was recommended somewhere... having trouble tracking down where. You can see it here:
Anyways, I haven't done anything special in configuring my system. Bought it assembled from ultimatemister.com. Ran all updates. I've googled this a bunch but all I get back are input lag comparison threads and controller suggestions. Anyone else encounter this problem?

Hi all,
What's the preferred way to format an existing SD card that is currently being used in a MiSTer? I want to start from scratch with a blank card. I know the existing card has a partition hidden from Windows since it tries to get me to format that partition whenever I plug it into my PC. Last time I did a format of a MiSTer card I seem to recall ending up with some 0B partitions that I tried to delete in diskpart, but couldn't since they don't have a drive letter, want to avoid that.
If I just write the Mr.Fusion image to the card, will that remove everything that's currently on there without needing to re-format? If not, what's the preferred format: NTFS or exFAT?
Thanks for any help.
