Subject: MiSTer dual SDRAM

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

In preparation for the potential requirement of dual SDRAM for PSX and/or Saturn cores I purchased a 2nd 128MB SDRAM module. Already have the digital IO board with SW3 enabled. The problem is, I don't think dual SDRAM is working. Using the latest PSX core, if I attempt to load a game via SDRAM option it takes like 60 seconds to load then just hangs. Robert tells me SDRAM should load completely within 10 seconds or less then work same as using HPS.

Does anyone have dual SDRAM working? If so, any ideas on why mine isn't? Thank you

Subject: Is the DE10-Lite Board (P0466) compatible with the MiSTer multisystem?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I know the DE10 nano dev board is sold out everywhere and a lot of people have been asking about it. But I was wondering if the DE10-Lite board would work or would I need to get some other accessories with it, like more RAM or IO accessories? I'm sorry if this is a really dumb or obvious question but I'm still learning about FPGA gaming.

Subject: Entry Level FPGA/SoC

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello all,

I am searching for a small entry level FPGA or SoC just to tinker around with and maybe to realize different projects.

The Zedboard seems nice. It has much to offer but is expensive.

In university I used the PYNQ-Z1 and also much bigger Xilinx boards so I already know their stuff. But the Terasic DE10 Nano for example seems like the better option when it comes to specs and price compared to the PYNQ.

Can you suggest anything else?

Thank you

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

From €155.95 to €190.98.

I have a pending order to be delivered by the end of January. Is Mouser going to fulfill the order at the first price or will claim the difference before shipping?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

In the MiSTer SNES core there is a “Pseudo Transparency” option in the “Audio & Video” settings menu. What does it do? When should it be used?

Subject: Successor to DE-10 / Nano

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I'd really love to get a Mister setup. I'm a noob but I think the current hardware maxes out its capabilities on the PSX and Saturn generations. Do you think if I waited a year there would be a new model that could play games beyond the 32 bit era?
