If anyone is looking for an inexpensive capture card setup, the VisionRGB E1S seems to work well with very low latency. Capture card itself is $100 on eBay, and depending on if you plan on capturing analog or digital video you are gonna have to spend another ~$30 on adapters (HDMI audio extractor or DAC if you don't have IO board, plus either an HDMI to DVI-D cable if digital or VGA to DVI-A if analog) assuming you don't already have them.
Next best option is the Avermedia Live Gamer 4K which is $215, but has the benefit of being able to capture 4K from sources like PS5 or Xbox Series X, but it's digital capture only AFAIK. Other similarly priced options like Elgato Game Capture will be limited to 1080p, not support weird resolutions, and compress the video stream
Right now I have been using it for digital capture, but I'm gonna try analog tomorrow after some adapters arrive. Digital capture is 1920x1080 max, but analog is 2048x1536 so the max MiSTer can output. Digital is pretty much PnP but I have heard analog can take some setup, although most of what I hear is from OSSC users

I just purchased and got my MiSTer up and running not too long ago and everything has been excellent! Except on my CRT with the VGA to component output - on this particular CRT (Samsung DynaFlat TX-N2434F), when playing games with a certain flashing effect, the video goes out of sync and flashes. Here is a link to a video on youtube of the issue in motion, please avoid this if you have any issues with flashing lights https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jja5E4LSZWY
I've tested this with different cables and it still had the same issue, but I finally was able to get my hands on another CRT and this issue does not happen with this one. Are there any settings I could potentially change to remedy this on the current Samsung CRT or on the .ini file? I know that on the GB games I have tested that have had this issue (such as Street Fighter Alpha), there is an option on the core called Stabilize Video (buffer) that when turned on, remedies the issues. Any thoughts? Thank you all!

Basically I just hit update all during sources and now I don't have audio anymore thru HDMI. I think this might be a known problem but I can't figure out why sound won't go on. Please help.

Subject: MiSTer FPGA DE-10 Nano - I/O, RAM and USB Board Recommendations and Giveaway!
I was on amoore2600's channel and it's empty. No user profile image, no videos, nothing. Did they just yeet off the internet? I don't see anything about it on their Twitter or Reddit user pages. Anyone know what mighta happened?
edit: looks like it all just went unlisted; playlists still work. Walp, maybe he's working on a rebranding or something. Wish 'im the best. He used to make a lot of nice MiSTer videos, like updates from Jotego/Topapate and whatnot.

Subject: How to get the best look for Snes, nes, and genesis cores?
I know it's generally subjective but what video settings, filters, etc... should I use to make games look the best they can? I see videos of the analog systems and the games look crisp and great but so far I haven't figure out how to get similar result with mister.

Prefacing with: Potentially stupid question, but IDC.
I'm finally setting my MiSTer up -- Digital I/O and BlisSTer boards.
If I put power to just the I/O, the switch on the I/O functions (fan goes on/off) but it doesn't seem to power the main DE-10. If I put power to just the DE-10, the whole thing seems to function but the switch doesn't seem to do anything. What am I doing wrong? I can't imagine they'd build a switch to control just the fan?
(I can't manage to get the BlisSTer to work at all with any combination of powering, it seems to be entirely shot [the barrel jack for power is suuuuper loose, I think it might need to be replaced, whatever] and I'm just moving on without it for now at least. My question lays with the Digital I/O and the on/off switch on it.)

Subject: Free to a good home. Yep, we going again Ivan. Doing it for the LOLZ!!
OK, being I cannot find anything online I wanted to turn to the community. I just purchased a SNAC adapter and the db9 adapter. Is there anything I need to put on the SD card from GitHub to make it work? I tried a Sega Genesis six-button controller, a ColecoVision, and Atari 2600 stick with the respective cores and cannot map anything.
I plugged the USB extension that came with the SNAC into the IO board USB port, Plugged the SNAC into the extension, and the db9 plug into the SNAC and nothing seems to work.
I even tried plugging the SNAC directly into the Mister.
