Looking for a decent HDMI to VGA adapter that someone could recommend for the DE-10 Nano. It's my understanding that the analog I/O board you can buy isn't necessary. My uses are mostly NES and SNES on a crt that has RGBs with a VGA plug.

Subject: Is there a way to tell MiSTer to assign a unique ID to the 2nd player controller?
I'm using two 2.4ghz 8bitDo PCEngine controllers and the two matching dongles that came with them. Both controllers seem to be recognized by the same ID number even when having only one dongle plugged in at a time. No matter which dongle and which controller I use they are both recognized as the same. I was wondering if there was a way to assign a unique ID to the second controller?
I don't think you can swap between X & D input methods with 2.4ghz controllers but I may be wrong.

Subject: Intrigued by MiSTER, but not happy yet with inputs.
I have been looking at getting a MiSTER for awhile now, but I have yet to see exact reproduction of console inputs. For instance, with the SNAC you get the latency of an original controller, but only one port. Also, there doesn't seem to be a Famicom expansion port available.
If there was a way to connect 2 SNAC ports so as to be able to connect 2 Famicom controllers or an NES multitap, as well as the Famicom expansion port, I would be more inclined to get a Mister. Is this something which might be a possibility in the future?

I set up my MiSTer recently and have been having a great time exploring a bunch of titles.
The few SNES games I've tried though have exhibited graphical artifacts (pictures in linked gallery - - sorry about quality, hard to take pictures of a CRT with a phone.) Sprites are missing or rendered as black shapes. Mario World even crashed on me.
I haven't experienced this in other cores like NES, Neo Geo, CPS2.
Is there a setting I might have messed up? Could my DE-10 be defective?

I really want to like the Vampire V4 Stand Alone - and it has great *potential*.
I also really want to trust that the Apollo Team is going to deliver on their promise to increase compatibility and make the V4 a more stable, more useful, more powerful alternative to a genuine Amiga.
But it has been 5 or 6 months, and they've gone through several versions of the core - and the same problems persist.
I am losing faith. Not enough to post a blog about it on my main blog.
But enough to talk about it openly here on my BBS.
But we're nearing the point where a main blog gets written.
![]() | You can still smell the lead fumes! On the simple basis that there wasn't any other board I could reasonably cram in the MiSTer (probably never doing the USB hub, I'd have to print a new case and my tiny OTG hub works fine) I did the RTC board mostly for SMD soldering practice. If I do another I'd probably be less lazy and change out to a proper precision tip rather than the wide chisel on the iron but this came out fine. Gonna be a couple days to test though, since I don't have any CR1220's on hand. I've got parts on hand for 4 more, because JLCPCB combined with my OCD don't allow me to have boards on hand without components to populate them. [link] [comments] |

As the title says, i'm thinking about buying a logitech keyboard / mouse and pair it to one receiver (works according to the manual). Anyone has already tested if this also works on the MIST as it seems a little picky about it's input devices - currently use a cabled mouse/keyboard.

I just picked up a prebuilt Blisster Edition - Ultimate MiSTer PRO from UltimateMister.com along with a PC Engine to HDMI controller adapter. I plugged everything in as shown in the tutorials, and I have a CoreGrafx 2-button pad plugged in, but when I try to add the controller on the main Mister display menu, the controller is not recognized. I've waited 3 seconds as suggested, no dice. I can plug in other USB controllers to the standard USB ports and they function fine. A USB keyboard works fine as well. The light next to the HDMI port is green, and it's my understanding that if I were able to add the controller, it would at least function in non LLAPI mode in the menu, so I'd at least be able to navigate to, and launch any LLAPI core. From there, I'd have to map the controller, but I can't get that far. Do you guys think I have a bad HDMI to PC Engine cable? Or am I missing a step? I saw another video on youtube that mentioned I need to run a script to enable something? (I'm not sure, it was such a poorly done, poorly explained video). I've also ran the update scripts and also made sure both HDMI ports are running the latest firmware. I even tried another SD card and started from scratch. What am I doing wrong?
