Subject: MiSTerOBS - An Application to integrate MiSTer and OBS
Hello everyone, it's in a moment of great need that I come e here asking for all of you guys help...
So I have a mister with all the addons and ram expansion updated to the last version, I used to play directly from the SD card but I decided to configure an external hard drive (2.5 inch sata drive into an usb enclosure that doesn't need external power, it's formated in fat 32 and has a games folder), I copied my games to said drive and in fact everything was working fine for weeks, and one day (yesterday) i powered my mister on just to find out that it no longer recognize my drive, the mister powers just fine but it can't find my drive and/or the roms, the drive powers on also (led is blinking normal but no drive in mister and no roms) I connected the drive on the pc and everything is there and the healt of the drive is 100%, it just doesn't work on the mister anymore (I also tried on other ports and no luck) I'm out of ideas, can it be some update that just break USB drive support? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance

Subject: MiSTer Sega Saturn Core Might Require Dual SDRAM
When I load the Atari ST core, my screen is completely blank. And the button on my controller configured as F12 doesn't load up the menu even. I have to reach for the Reset button on my MiSTer.
I have the larger RAM board, and my NeoGeo and others which require that, startup ok.
Does some initial configuration need to be made, to have something display at all?
I watched a YT video by Pezz 82, an Atari ST easy set up guide. I've copied over some files to my \games\Atari st\ dir. Those being the virtual HDD, and .tos files recommended. But following that video, when he launches the core it loads up the workspace. I just get pure black screen.
What should happen if you had a fresh setup of MiSTer and then ran update_all then loaded the Atari ST core... would you see 'something'? In which case, I've gone wrong somewhere along the line.. and probably will remove all the files coped over and start again following the guide.
Thanks

Had a spare Samsung K360 2.1 channel Soundbar I bought a few years ago for my not so great TV at the time. I hooked it up to my MiSTer with mini TOS adapter. It sounds nuts. Super Star Wars feels like I'm actually there. Akumajou Densetsu on NES sound also pops out. It's honestly a whole new experience, and really brings an appreciation to the effort put into making soundtracks for 8bit and 16bit era.

Has anyone played Night Knight on the MiSTer ZXNext core? It looks a really nice game, but I can't get past stage one as I don't know how to JUMP. I'm using an M30 pad, but have also tried pressing many keys on my keyboard and can't control it.
The dpad works fine, can move my character left/right... but no buttons make him jump.
When I access the OSD 'Define ZXNext buttons' it just runs through up/down/left/right/a/b/c/x/y/z/start.
I tried another ZXNext game, a Space Invaders game, which used keyboard keys to control.
But all I can seem to do in Night Knight is walk left and right, but you have to jump up to platforms.
Appreciate if anyone playing this game could let me know how/if they mapped a jump button, or if it just worked for you straight away?
Thanks

The cult of Nintendo is ruining the MiSTer with bullshit like this.

I have a setup that includes a vintage PC for DOS gaming and a MiSTer, both hooked up to the same VGA monitor using a mechanical VGA switch box.
An IBM Model M keyboard and an early 90's Microsoft mouse are connected to the PC, which both use the PS/2 style connector.
For the MiSTer, I mostly use the console cores with variety of controllers, mostly 8bitdo, but I've been looking into trying out the various computer cores.
There really isn't room on the desk for two sets of keyboards and mice. Sure, I could use a PS/2 to USB adapter, but I would have to unplug the keyboard and mouse from the computer every time to use them on the MiSTer, which would be a hassle.
Is there some way to split the signal coming from the keyboard and mouse? I have not found such a solution, and I would rather not damage any equipment.
