Ordered a new M240 in August was told 5 to 6 months wait time. Called sales in November he said i was 2nd in line call back in December and now I'm 3rd in line he said he misspoke or I misheard. January comes and he calls me, I'm 1st in line, next allocation is mine. Sales also establishes they have 2 allocation for this model and how it all works, sell a car get new allocation and so on. They have buyers for the 2 allocation infront of me.
Sales explains that it needs built and shipped and it will be early to mid April when I will receive the car. Not happy about the extra what time but I've waited this long and understand supply problems hence the original 5 month wait time.
March 16 rolls around and I have yet to hear anything so I vall them, mind you the only time they called me was in January. Well they haven't even got my allocation yet so April is out of the question. I'm now told I might get it in June.
How can a dealer not get the allocation if they sold the cars in front of me?
I already feel that someone they know family or friend cut the allocation line. But they can't even communicate to me the status, I was expecting it next month but I have to call them to learn that's not possible.
What is going on? What are my options at this point?
I don't want to pay full sticker price in June for a 2023 when there are gonna be 2024 models driving around.
In the market for an m240i but none were in stock and I wanted to see what the b58 sounded and felt like. Test drove an m340i as a substitute and holy cow!!! What a beast! Might find myself being a first time BMW owner!
Subject: Being reckless and hit my friends new BMW. No dents but there are these scratches. How much do you think it would cost to repair it? I’m pretty sure the metal is exposed.
