Just got into a new-to-me '21 X3M and an really loving it. I know, not everybody's cup of tea, but I'm a new dad and need the space, upgraded from '18 m240 and that's ... whew ... A large difference.
But my question is about sound. Both my m240 and new X3M have HK sound, but it actually sounded GREAT in the m240. The X3M? Underwhelming. Is there a easily understandable reason for this? I would expect an "m" car to have good audio (it's got pretty much all the options, tech, goodies), but it sounds thin, poorly balanced / no bass.. just .. off.
Am I alone in feeling this way? Is there a reasonable fix for this? I'm not an audiophile, but I know good speakers and this just ain't it.
Rest of the car... chef's kiss for a crossover. A dad's gotta do what a dad's gotta do. It's actually faster than my m240i... at least in a straight line 🤣
I got a 2020 330i 2 months ago and haven’t driven it in super rainy weather yet, just mild light rain. Well tomorrow it’s supposed to rain pretty heavy and I have to drive about 25 minutes on the freeway to get to where I need to go. I was just wondering, how you guys drive your BMWs in the rain? Do you keep it in comfort mode the whole drive? Any tips would be great!
Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but I totaled my old car 3 months ago while going 50mph on the freeway in the left lane while it was raining and ended up hydro planning, then over corrected and smashed right into the divider. Ever since then I avoided driving in the rain as much as possible.
Subject: 3yrs ago I sold my Z3, stranger made a cash offer, 2001 3.0, manual, it was a great toy, have owned 150 cars or so didn’t regret selling it but did miss it. The 2019 is marked about 3k cheaper and has a nicer color in my opinion.
2020 is pure black, which I know is hard to maintain, but has everything else that I love. It’s also a CPO.
Logically, I feel like I should get the 2020 because it is newer and is a CPO. But with 5k extra miles (about 5 months of driving for me), is it worth it?

Subject: So I did something today. Changed the gearbox oil that many are reluctant to do. Oil had turned dark black, couldn’t believe my eyes when I compared it to fresh oil.
Hi, any tall drivers (6’2”+) have issues daily driving their 435i? I’m thinking of buying one but the only thing that’s stopping me is the leg room, I was checking out the interior specs and it only has 42.2” legroom, the head room is perfect at 39” but still the legroom worries me, anyone with 32” inseam + have issues driving the car?
