Hello, a few months ago I bought this E90 328i 2009 and it was mechanically fine. Then a few weeks after it began to rain and that's when I noticed my first problem. There was water seeping through the windshield cowl and drenching the floorboards of the passenger front and back seats. My car also only began to crank and completely drain the battery during this time. I thought it was the alternator but I realized it was just an old battery. Once I replaced it and the water was dry the car was working well again. I added an adhesive to try and cover the cowl leak and I believed it to have work because there isnt much rain here and I never saw it wet again. This last week in California it has been raining like hell and I noticed the puddle again. Once again, the car is only cranking and slowly losing battery every time I tried starting it to the point most of the accessories in the car are dead unless I jump start it. I don't know how to fix it this time, what should I do? Do I need to dry the floorboards again and charge the battery overnight? how should I address the water leak I believed to have been fixed? Is it even going to work again after I dry it this time or do I have an electrical problem now? If anybody knows or has dealt with this before please let me know and give me some advice. Thank you so much. I would also like to know if there are important electronics under the carpet of the E90 that the water has damaged? I would really hope not.

It’s either install it myself, to allow Apple CarPlay to be installed remotely. Or drive 90 mins to the guy, for him to install it.

Im getting my older sisters car which she has been using for 3 ish years. I really love cars and the m3 absolutely sounds amazing. Ive also been thinking of trading it if I can it with 2023 420i m sport coupe. Can I get opinions, should I keep or trade? Keep in mind it’ll be my first car.

![]() | Put my order in yesterday and now my watch begins! I've been waiting years to build a car for myself. My in-laws have a fleet of BMWs and I've had a Scion tC, then an Audi Q5. My excitement is absolutely unreal. Does anyone have any recommendations on port installed accessories, or any other minor add-ons or tips/tricks they want to share? For example... has anyone seen the black roof spoiler in person? [link] [comments] |
Hi guys
I've got a 2017 BMW 435 convertible diesel
I've only had it 5 months. on the first week of december I got a notification saying my engine oil needs topping up 1 litre. So I did. a month later in the first week of january, i got the same message! I was gone for about a month so the car was barely used between jan-feb, but now the first day of march, I've got the same message again saying the engine oil needs topping up by 1 litre!
I got the car serviced in january and I let my local garage know about this issue and they checked and apparently there's no leak. I know this engine does eat up a bit of oil more than the normal engine but come on, this is too much. right?
I say I do an average of 400 miles a week, mostly on the motorway.
Has anyone else had this experience? Shall I take it to a better garage that wont shrug of my concern like this?
Thanks guys

Subject: M8 owners, what do like most and least about your car?
Looking at BMW M8 and it seems like the perfect GT car. Any thoughts on ownership? Cross shopping LC500, Porsche 911 and maybe Corvette. Looking for a car I can do distance in.
Have had M cars and a race car so I’m kind of over track days.
Interested in your thoughts
