Subject: Anyone else have an inconsistent brake pedal feel in the G80?
I posted this over on bimmerforums but got zero response. Before I head to BMW of Austin, figured I'd ask here, too.
The Bimmerpost:
So about a month into the car - just did break in service last week - and over the last few days have noticed that the brake pedal feel seems to change from firm to soft randomly with no changes on any of the brake settings (always have it in sport) and I'm not driving hard, just cruising with traffic.
I even had to really get on the binders when I pulled into the garage at home with the pedal going almost to the floor this weekend to get it to stop before hitting our standup tool chest. Was very weird.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts what it may be? I know the car's brake-by-wire so I hope this isn't just "how it is" as far as pedal feel. PS, these are steel, not the CCB's.
Thinking I may run it into the dealer if this doesn't improve but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced anything like this.
TIA

Subject: Used BMW dealer purchase- won't accept cash deal?
Just wanted to see if y'all are experiencing this. Negotiated a price for a 2021, they accepted but turned around and said I have to finance. More, they won't let me pay it off for 3 months? They are using BMW finance I gather.
Normal? Or walk away?

Subject: BMW of Ramsey has pre-owned 2023 BMW X1 with 234 miles for sale... wait... what? 234 miles?
I just asked my car insurance provider (Allstate) for a quote and my monthly payment will be $255 for my 2023 230i. Is this normal? Thinking of shopping around. I don't want to be cheap, just want to get the best price for decent coverage

SO took my car out while her X3 was getting work done. Hit a small, but deep pothole and ended up blowing out my tire and causing some damage to the wheel. BMW roadside assistance came in clutch. I did not enjoy the cost bill from the dealership to replace and align!
The damage to the wheel looked worse than it ended up being. I’ll probably just live with it.

Subject: What coding options do I have to reduce the throttle lag on an F22? (Without an engine tune)
Hi,
How can I reduce the reported (example 1, example 2, example 3) throttle lag on the m240i? I'm not looking to do anything too invasive or detrimental to fuel efficiency.
I have an appointment with a local reputable BMW coder/tuner and want to make the best use of the time and money spent.

I’m in Canada where you can only get the m5 competition and I was looking for the carbon fibre roof option but couldn’t find it. Is it still a thing or does it come standard with the car? Model 2023 if that matters.

Subject: Just bought an e46 last week and it’s a 6spd manual!(2003 330xi)She needs some work but that’s the fun of it:)Only 109k and it’s running and driving great. Does anyone here have an awd e46? I can’t find a lot about it online because it’s a “rare” apparently lol
Just as the title reads. I am expected to take delivery of an M2 in the summer but I also have the option of buying the new M340i. The M340i gets so much praise on Reddit that I’m considering getting one over the new M2. Would this be a good idea? Is the M340i really that good? I’m just so torn between the two and need advice on which one is better.
