Subject: Considering a lightly used 440i Gran Coupe

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Howdy everyone - I'm considering my first foray into the sports sedan world. I've got a $40k budget at the most (would like to keep it at $35k), have a toddler so need more space than a 2-series will get me, and was impressed by the amount of storage space I saw in the trunk of the 440iGC. I'm prioritizing fun and common sense equally, so would love to hear what y'all have to say!

As far as other cars, I've looked at (but not test driven used C43's and S4's.

Subject: Used 2020 M340i vs Certified 2020 M340i xDrive

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Good Morning,

Wondering what you guys would choose if presented the following;

$44,000 Used 2020 M340i (RWD) 11,000 miles.

$48,000 Certified 2020 M340i xDrive (AWD) 22,000 miles.

Specced exactly the same (other than interior color brown vs black).

Which would you choose and why? is AWD + Certification worth an extra $4,000 + 11,000 miles?

Not entirely sure at all.

edit: I should mention, I'm in NY so we get snow but winter tires could solve for that? ....

Something old, something new, both are broken, I am blue.

I love my BMW's. I feel I take great care of them. They never love me back.

Subject: Does anybody know the differences between the 2018 & 2019 year models of the G39 540i?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I can’t find any real info on what’s different between the years. If somebody has any info or a website I can look, that would be very appreciated.

Thank you!

Subject: Help with my second hand bmw

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi there, sorry if this post is unrelated to this sub but me and my parents got a second hand bmw 1 series 09 plate from a dealership, after a few days of driving it, when I accelerate abit harder than usual, the engine light pops for a sec and my car slows down then after a while is goes back to normal and the light turns off, is this due to an engine misfire or could it be something less serious.

Thank you in advance for and helpful tips with the car, it’s much appreciated

Subject: Thanks, BMW for saving my family's life...

Thanks, BMW for saving my family's life...

In July 2015, my wife was driving our 2010.5 X5 35d when a Suburban ran a red light and t-boned her.

In the back, my 22-month-old daughter and my 3-week-old son.

My family is safe, and the x5 was sacrificed. We replaced the 2010.5 with a late-model used 2014 x5 35d (the one that just turned over 100k miles).

Anyhoo, I liked BMWs before that mishap. I've loved them ever since.

The other wheel is straight. The hit was hard enough to break the transmission off.

Chicco Keyfit where my 22-month-old was seated. HUGE +1 to those guys, too.
