Hi guys, a local merchant offers me a price of £1450, for an Apple CarPlay installation service. This includes a complete headunit change, a touch controller, any extra coding and says sound quality will be improved too. All genuine bmw parts.

I find this is a bit pricey as can see the service is roughly £500 in the uk based on internet searches. Would greatly appreciate that if anyone can give any advice if this is worthy or not please? Thank you!

Is this a dumb idea? Car looks pristine on first glance. I can stomach some major repairs as needed. And we know the 750 is more reliable than the 740. It's a dream car, but at 25 years old and a BMW at that...am I being naive and dumb? Or is this something, if I'm willing to deal with some inconveniences, would be worth it?
